We don't use cpu on my server, only weight and volume. We like it that way. ship is very high performance and somewhat agile. My builds are mostly for role playing. This is a explorer style SV. It has a 3k ammo and 32k cargo for loot and stuff
Today I finished survival ready SV with believable interior. Due to its harsh exterior shape, funny looking short landing legs and cockpit like crocodile jaw, i named it Still Alligator. Here is a side by side interior/exterior comparison whats is where. Ship have armored cockpit surrounded with additional spaced armor, 2 crew quarters, 1 bathroom, 2 armored cargo holds (13k SU each) and 2 armored engineering rooms. All can be accessed from the inside of the ship. Stern of the ship have captain's quarter, small in size like everything in such tiny ship, but cosy, functional and with a nice view:
@Primal Dragon That's a really cool realistic/RP design. I especially like the cross section shots you've done.
I spent all night putting together a trailer video and troubleshooting the scenario as I noticed issues while filming. I hope people enjoy this:
I;ve been away for a bit exploring the world of VR. In the process, I had some connectivity issues from an apparent virus. In any case, due to my negligence, all my EGS files have been wiped. Saved games, BPs, other useful information I've collected over the years are all gone. I still have most of my screenshots or it appears so. I don't relish starting ALL over again. I'm not ready to start up just yet. If I don't get back into the game, I want to thank you all again for an amazing 5.5 years/7300+hours. I will miss this, but I need to step back for a bit. Cheers!
Liking your post to show support, not because I like what happened. Take care, and if you do return I hope to see you around here again.
I'm sorry to read that your saves and blueprints were wiped. I take it you were not backing up your blueprint folder? The same thing happened to me a long time ago and I make it a point to back it up regularly. There is a process that will let you recover any blueprints you uploaded to the workshop. I wrote a guide on it a while ago. The instructions are old, but they are still valid. https://empyriononline.com/threads/help-cant-update-my-ships-on-workshop.91830/#post-381875
Remember guys... always make backups of your important data... The question is not if you will lose information someday, the question is when will you lose the information. Stay safe, and sorry so much. Take care, mate, and good luck
@Track Driver Sorry to hear about your computer problems. Sometimes you just have to step away and take a breather. Playing new games of Empyrion is generally a refreshing experience. You find planet types/biomes you haven't seen, POIs you haven't run prior (because you know RNG), new content added in the latest version and encounter bugs that are new to you. No idea why I keep finding my vessels upside down now. Couldn't get in through my normal entry since it isn't designed to be upside down in gravity but I managed to dig under and come in through the drone hatch. Empyrion has a way of making me enact creative solutions to it's everyday challenges.
Since I have some free time, I figured i'd do something small and easy like a kit-set for space POIs since the game has almost none of them. Basically, they will be a Blueprint made of separate sections of a zirax space station (available for Ghyst, Epsilon and Xenu) that come pre-built, pre-colored and pre-textured that just need to be copy+pasted to form a modular spacestation of your choosing. Sections will be whole corridor sections; sections for mounting turrets; hangar walls, floors and ceilings; Empty modules. Just pick the parts you like and copy+paste them together. This is the first one in the Ghyst set: A basic corridor connector with an external shield. For example, you'd copy+paste this section next to adjacent sections, like a cargo bay and a core section to produce a cargo POI (With only 2 rooms it won't be much of a POI, but it's a start) Corridor Interior: The interior is exactly 2 blocks high to fit both spawners on the bottom and sentry guns on the top without either getting stuck on the other. Also fits taller enemies and can be made into a room in it's own right by removing the floor grates and replacing the corners with flat blocks. More corridor variants will include wider and short-spaced ribbing, taller and wider corridor variants.
what space poi’s you after then? also today I finished and submitted ARC space poi’s and updated my Polaris freighters
I have a challenge going for space wrecks: https://empyriononline.com/threads/june-poi-building-challenge-space-wreckage.97911/
yes I have seen the challenge, I have a couple of wrecks WIP hoping to get back to them and finish this week, got side tracked helping HeckenDiver with ARC poi’s
Shaping completed on another poi with just a few spawner tweaks, 1 LCD and the texturing to go. ...I hate texturing
