Suggestion..... Turn off respawn in neutral territory in space or make it once per week. This could all us to try to "conquer" systems. This could also allow for human players to team up with missions to make safe zones or whatever. Is there a place eto make suggestions, if this is not it?
Is there supposed to be a cooldown period after taking damage for POI shields recharging? I'm seeing them start to recharge immediately after being hit.
Just a heads up... (for me). On Omicron the Talon Clans quest, chapter 2: Instigator - Graverobber... couldn't find any burial chamber (used map command eventually), so unable to complete mission. Is there a console command allowing me to complete and continue with the last two chapters in the story line ?
No. You'll need to go to another starter planet with the POI in the event that a burial chamber doesn't spawn. This is becoming more common as the number of story POIs on the starting planet are exceeding the valid locations they can spawn.
On a sidenote, I was wondering - is there anything preventing zoom functionality on fixed CV weapons - like with right click orso?
Yes. The view while in a cockpit is set from the cockpit, not from a handheld weapon. Attempting to give it zoom throws a CoQ loop and crashes the game.
I noticed that. It's like, pew pew 99%, reloading.... 100% Buggerit lol. However, once you get them to 0% they don't recharge. So, go in with anti-shield tools (I use an SV with Lasers), then return to take out any turrets (Missile SV) then go in on foot and die, die, die, die again, swear vengeance, die a few more times before finally giving u.... erm, managing a glorious victory, Coring the enemy POI and salvaging loads of goodies. There was an old cheesy method where people would change FoV in settings to allow a "zoomed in" view, before switching it back for regular play. It works, but it's horrible lol. Scoob.
Quick question: Have you done something sneaky regarding player CV's landed on a planet? I've landed my CV and created a base around an auto-miner on a random planet. Outside of regular base attacks, I don't appear to be pestered by Drones. However, if I turn off the shield and turrets on my CV (to save power) a Drone will appear within thirty seconds or so and attack it relentlessly. The first time this happened I thought it an unlucky coincidence, but it's happened several times now, each time within a minute of turning off the Shield and Turrets. When the Shield and Turrets were permanently on - for the first few game days (real time hours) of me being here, nothing ever bothered my landed CV. Instead they'd make a bee-line for my armed and shielded Base. If this is anything other than a 100-1 coincidence, then it's rather a sneaky addition. Note: I did not build the CV here, so it wasn't a new build triggering an attack. I cannot trigger an attack again right away, so there is a delay between the Drone appearing. I can't imagine that I'd turn off the CV's Shield and Turrets exactly in sync with the arrival of a Drone guarding the Deposit I'm mining each time, that'd be even more of a coincidence. Scoob.
Thanks. Its good to know its not just me. @Vermillion Do you know if this behavior is indented? I have reproduced it in vanilla as well. That works fine as long as your using a nimble gunship style attack craft (aka the kind that reforged discourages) but if your using a fighter jet style SV then by the time you swing back around after your first pass the shield will already have recharged.
Shields recharging instantly is a game bug and should've already been fixed in 1.5, if it's not. You'll need to report to Eleon. Also, there is no functionality to call drones when shutting down CV shields. I mean, I could do that. But it would be a loud PDA call with pop-ups and honking.
I just got unlucky several times in a row then? Are you sure it wasn't you? I think attacks on parked CV's would be fun, perhaps less often that Base attacks, but with a PDA warning as you suggest. I've got the power balance now, thanks to CV Solar Panels, that I can leave it with shields up for hundreds of hours - no more taking them down to save power. Having turrets only too drains power a bit too much. Btw: you've been able to split Sentries into their own groups, would be be possible to have separate auto-groups for Space Only Turrets too? I know we can of course create custom groups, but I'm forever tinkering and the auto-group feature is so useful. Scoob.
I'll add it to the list for 1.6, but I don't think most people would want their big turrets grouped by space or planet though.
I thought it'd be quite useful being able to readily disable irrelevant turrets when in atmosphere. Sure, I can do it via other means, but a quick way to do it, particularly for newer players, might be nice. Obviously 100% your call though. Heh, he really doesn't when it come to dastardly behaviour Scoob.
Here's a new poll for feature choices/functions for the 1.6 release. Food Buffs - Foods give a buff to stamina regeneration, health regeneration, movement speed or hunger loss for a set level and duration (don't stack) - Well-Fed Buff is removed - Nutrition System is removed Poll Poll ends in like a week, maybe two. May need to refresh the page to see the poll.
I would. I currently use signals to turn the different kinds of turrets on/off but that uses up most of the switches on the main CP page, its cumbersome to use, and an absolute pain to set up.
You can already do that though, you just need to configure the groups yourself. Which I always highly recommend doing as the default game groups are pretty bad.
Autogrouping as space/planet I wouldn't want, especially since projectile, laser, and zirax turrets are both. Autogrouping by weapon type would be great though, since it seems that's mainly how we apply settings to turrets (miniguns do drones, plasma do generators, missiles do thrusters, etc). Then you can choose to bind multiple groups to common control panel switches for planet and ground if you want, or individual switches for each type if you want.
