I can make it advance by using the pda brief command, but I cannot make it reward the mission when completed. After you find deposit 3 and type pda brief 157 (or whatever number Wildlife Cam is), it cycles back to Find Deposit 1. Nothing happened with rwdchap or spndrp. Same here. After finding the 3rd ore, it's marked complete in the mission but the screen still says Find Deposit 3. If you type pda brief after the 3rd deposit, the mission restarts with no reward.
I have the same issue, Singleplayer + Survival Mode. Since the PDA told me to find the next step but didnt update on the mission tracker, i restarted the game and it updated to the next step after. but at the end of step 3 it brought me back to step 1 after restarting the game

I have done this several times now and I have to execute a 'pda rd' in the console to get it to check. Once checked, I have to deactivate then resume the mission to get it to highlight the next resource. Steps to Reproduce: Precondition) On Omicron, at the Sanctuary, having completed Privacy Matters mission 1) Select and activate Wildlife Cam mission. First resource is highlighted and the mission (on the HUD) checkbox says "Scout Ore Deposits: Find Deposit 1 (unchecked) 2) Follow the HUD Marker to resource one (for me it's Iron) 3) Arrive at the marked Iron resource and the HUD marker disappears. The "Find Deposit 1" remains unchecked. 4) Execute console command "pda rd" - note the Find Deposit 1 is checked. Nothing else happens. In the PDA there is a new "Find Deposit 2" unchecked. 5) Deactivate the mission, then resume the mission. Note the Find Deposit 2 is now under the HUD and the HUD marker is active and visible for the next resource. For me that's Copper. 6) Repeat 2 thru 5. Now the active resource is Silicon. 7) Repeat 2 thru 4. and all three items are checked under the PDA and on the HUD the Find Deposit 3 is checked. From here I've tried running the pda rd, pda rwdchap 158, pda msg 158 but in all cases my mission stays incomplete. I don't think I get any rewards, either. If I deactivate the mission, it completes but doesn't give the reward and it doesn't unlock the next chapter 'Weaponized Negotiations." Also, I cannot repeat the mission for 60 minutes. In the screenshots I have provided, please disregard that the "Weaponized Negotiations" is unlocked. I did that with a 'pda brief 159' console command. I waited the 60 minutes to repeat the "Wildlife Cam" 158 mission once more before opening this bug. Same here, tried new save and still Wildlife Cam doesn't advance the steps on its own and never rewards or unlocks next chapter. compared the yaml code from an old 1.7 save where I know it worked and the yaml is identical, so not a yaml file issue.
Here a provisory workaround that should work in skipping this faulty mission and unlock the 3rd one once you have finished the 1st: 1) Deactivate all active missions of these rep mission types, quit game. 2) Open the file PDA.yaml located in your specific savegame folder 3) Make a BACKUP of this file and save it OUTSIDE of the Empyrion game folder somewhere. Just in case you make an error. 3) Replace these entries in the file, save and quit: Search for RewardedChapters: - pda_ChptWildlifeCam Replace with RewardedChapters: - pda_PowerdowntheZone 4) Replay the first rep mission called 'Destroy Drones' by entering these console commands: pda lschaps This will list the chapter names and numbers, get the number of 'Destroy Drones', then enter this command: pda brief xx Where xx is the right chapter number. This should pop-up the briefing of the 1st mission. After success of this first mission you will be sent to the 3rd mission skipping the faulty 2nd one and you can continue. ONCE THE BUG IS FIXED, if still you play the same savegame, enter this command in the console: pda rd
