I noticed that if I place a Salvage Core on a mission POI (the crashed Titan for instance) it breaks the mission. For example, when you try to access a terminal on the crashed Titan, it will just report "You cannot talk to NPCs in player based structures". I used the checkbox override to get by this problem, except that on the second or third return to the engineering terminal, the checkbox stopped working. Is there possibly a way to override or fix this issue in terms of not being able to talk to NPCs on player based structures? Maybe there's a switch that would allow talking to them? ...if it doesn't open up a different can of worms. Alternatively, I just won't be using the salvage core anymore on POIs.
In particular, the mission fails on Chapter 5: "Offworld Grave" the "Authorized Personnel" checkbox of the mission where you return to the engineering console with the keycard runs into the problem noted above, and the checkbox to bypass it does not work for some reason. So my story missions are at a standstill.
This issue will be solved with the release of RE2, where all story POIs will just be indestructible and admin-cored. There's a duplicate of the crashed titan and moon-based story POIs on the other starter moons in the event that the Titan is broken or has been salvaged (MP).
Thanks, I think I broke both starter moons on the Haven planet, but I'm sure there are others that I have not touched.
I am single player and had the same issue, However when I switched to god mode, I was able to talk to the console like it should have been and was able to complete the missions normally
