    Thanks Vexray for the map pack they are wonderful additions to the game :) I just wish I could get them working correctly, I noticed most of the playfields don't have map.raw and map_n.raw which caused the game to crash, so I did what Talk2Rider suggested earlier in this thread and used the desert ones from that folder into all the playfields that were missing them. That worked alright but then every new planet looks like omicron from orbit and down on the planet the global map is also a copy of omicron and makes navigation on the planets near impossible, I was wondering is there anyway to get it to use the proper map/planet look for all the new planets? this is my first time installing new planets so I'm likely missing something or doing something wrong.

    Any help would be appreciated, me and my server users thank you in advance :D

    There is an error in the ovus file. It's using a monster tag that were changed in an update. Same issue with Andromeda.

    To fix Ovus replace:

    TalonGuardians --> TalonGuardianHerd
    Raptors --> RaptorHerd

    To fix Andromeda replace:

    CaveWormsGrey --> CaveWormGreyHerd

    Once you make the changes and wipe the playfield, creatures should start to appear.

    The resources look fine in the file. Try fixing the npcs see if the ore works after. Configs can be oddly sensitive at times.

    I'm assuming you placed them in the Sector.yaml?

    Hi, Yeah added the 2 planets to the sectors at the bottom. Added 2 new folders to the playfield with the playfield.yaml files. The 2 Planets show up in SP, just not on the server.

    the playfield.yaml files should be in the template folder. not the playfields folder.

    When you start a new game, Empyrion creates the folder for it, and copies all the playfield/sector stuff into the save's folder. It does not look at the stuff in the "content" folder after that to generate anything in-game. As a result:

    -If you change stuff in the content folder it will not affect already-existing saves.
    -The content folder is for adding planets to a game that doesn't exist yet.
    -The templates folder is used when you are adding a planet to an existing savegame that is already in progress.

    Hope that clears it up. :)

    Yes, that is exactly what I meant about the content folder :)

    Thanks for the clarification.

    Edit: nevermind, I must have copied the wrong file path in my notes. Onward and upward!

    On a personal note, I prefer not changing the files in the Content folder if I don't have to change them. They are the "clean" originals that the game will always use when generating new fields. Anything in the savegame folder feels safer to change since if you screw up, you just need to delete the save game and start again. This way, I can change/modify the original planets (Akua, Omicron, etc.) and be comfortable knowing the originals are still intact if I want to create a new game.

    A second reason that may be of interest is when the game is updated, the content folder may/will be updated if there are changes to those files. This means, any changes you made in the content folder will be lost. If you've taken a lot of time and effort to make customized worlds, this could be a significant setback. Having the changes in the savegame templates protects it from being overwritten by the steam updates.

    That said, there is nothing to stop you from modifying the content folder directly. This may be preferred if you want all your saves to have the same changes. As long as you know the risks. ;)
