Most ore deposits and POIs do scale with planet size. Just not on the starting planets.
Look at the dialog file in the main content/configuration folder for examples of how to use it. If you need help you could post your dialog...
It's the same way on the default survival too. Any POI that has an unlocked path to a core self destruct switch can be done this way.
