OOPS! I cannot start a new game. I cannot continue an existing game. After the start menu , I hang on the splash screen saying 1.9 4004 in the upper left ... Console shows this:
says: EOS Log: Lost connection to Stomp on 'wss:api.epicgames.dev ..... There's three other null reference messages. and a failure to call UMABodyRecipe
So was this a connection issue? Did it resolve itself? I know it is not helpful for you OP but FYI I have had no problem with firing up a 1.9 4004 game or playing other version EXP game saves in the EXP client.
@Pantera resolved it for me. The issue was a corrupted Player Avatar setting of some sort. The hack that Pantera suggested worked: Revert to 1.8.15 Fiddle with the Player Avatar settings, (changed it male to female) This action rewrote the player avatar settings Opted back into Experimental Now, everything works for me. How this got corrupted, don't know. There's a bug for this, and at least one other person had this trouble. Could be the colors I picked, who knows at this point.
