Well, Akua is uses the Temperate playfield and IIRC the Temperate2 terrain generation algorithm, so even stock can be confusing. However overall I tend to agree, since the playfield is renamed in the save game and that can cause issues if I ever make an update for which the names are not the same as the playfield name. I used GXX-nnn prefixes so that custom playfields can be easily spotted and deleted if required. I might instead just have a common prefix and then name, and keep the playfield name in sync, coupled with better names as some have suggested.
I tend to make the updates with new features introduced in the Experimental builds. I usually leave the last version which is compatible with the release builds (which were from previous experimentals before release). So if you are running experimental, you'll be ok with new versions, if release, use the oldest one.
I honestly have not played that build yet, so I don't know what that message means. However, I doubt the custom planets have anything to to with that.
The only thing is that if we have visit any of the Trade Stations before the latest trader update the new traders do not appear in it since the spawnners are missing. Also after the last hotfix of latest Alpha experimental 6 whenever I encounter a drone the game shows the "send email and continue send email and quit" message and I cannot play anymore. Also the drone cannot be killed by me auto targeting turrets!!!
So for those having your old playfields in content folder , now in content folder we have 629 playfields? Are you sure we do not need to delete old? the saves now get over 700MB you now.Or should there be, in the playfields folder of the save folder only the playfields names the player has visit? Also with the old of my saves problem remains even with your new files, but on a new game seems to work ok.
OK I also used my backup saves from before your 50planet files and all works well so far. No problems with drones anymore.
Yeah the old ones can be deleted, the ones starting with GXX. The new ones start with GX and MX. There should be 300 of them (planets + orbit + moons).

Hah, just downloaded this a few hours before the new update - blasting a P1 fortress on my own was a challenge, kind of glad in a way we're back to normal drone bases though, was a toughie - instructions worked first time, easy to follow - thanks for doing this really given me a blast and having a great time on Keng Yen-cheng, which really should be renamed "Planet of the Damnable Spiders"
I've been reading the experimental threads, and there seem to be issues with POI regeneration, which I've included in the last version. I may remove that in the next version depending on how things evolve. Glad you like it. And I've died a couple of times to tall grass + spiders + drones.
The size of the save files folder is what concerns me. In order to make a backup from in game or to copy a save game from the menu it takes approx 4-5 minutes to complete. Should you consider a lighter version with around 15-20 planets maybe?
