Just had this happen to me I was in an sv taking on the floating unknown artifact and all the zirax on the top layer by the core were grouped up and able to shoot through the blocks at me (took out the cockpit lucky it was above the water ) . I can give you the modified POI, but no backup, it is over 2GB on our server. It is difficult for me to give you the exact position of the player (I was there to watch). When the Zirax started shooting through the walls, he left (hence the capture where we see the player on the mini-map in SV to avoid Zirax shooting). There was the Zirax laser on the second floor and the RDC minigun that shot through the wall. I want to clarify that this concern is present on many POIs (see all), I have already seen on other POI. Mainly on the beginning of version 8 which had been corrected in a patch.
I can confirm a new MP Server in 9.2 is also having this issue occur where zirax fire through walls. If possible I can try and convince the admin to cough up the save once we can verify which POI it is happening
We are also getting several cases of NPC's shooting through blocks on Transcendence. We thought it was latency at first. This issue also popped up at the same time an issue with random players having issues logging in also occurred about the time 9.2.1 was released. I have not been able to reproduce this personally on the server. Please let me know if our logs could help in investigating this particular issue.
This bug it actually periously reported AI bug so you should check it - https://empyriononline.com/threads/ai-has-gone-completely-crazy.47102/ ... and maybe all of this is not a 'one single' bug but several different things, but for us players "shooting & seeing through POI walls like crazy destroying blocks on the way" is a one single game breaking bug (maybe admins could add 'shooting through walls' or something like this to older 'ai gone crazy' topic so people can track this easily)
Last couple of days I didn't had time for more testing that I wanted to do on this subject so I didn't try to replay this problem on some other POIs, and of course I don't know is this connected to AI shooting/seeing through blocks & walls - but for me is kinda connected because I was inspecting and playing against that problem! (... and sorry I'm late with this and from from last build) I can not provide save game because it is on MP server I'm playing - but it is easy to recreate & test is it a bug or some glitch. I will try this on server later today on some other POIs with underground levels! (server is Farmland with custom map but with all in-game generated planets & stock POIs, and with restart on every 6h so everything works fine) *** This Drone Base is affected with AI shooting problem so you can not successfully attack it from ground (but I had to destroy its core because of bugged troop transports after server updating to 9.2). I used first HV and then SV rockets to break inside just to get to base core. After some time I noticed that rockets stopped making proper damage, especially blast damage, and I was shooting & shooting & shooting just to eliminate single block by block. Then this happened - little drop-boxes 'floating' and Zirax walking on air! ... also drop-boxes didn't disappeared, but stayed on. It is obvious that they are all on general 'ground level' or something like that (is it 'outside ground' or is it POI 'zero ground' I don't know). My rockets worked fine above this 'invisible ground/wall', blast explosions affected several blocks as intended, but every rockets salvo for 'underground' made damage only on single block and not a big damage (I was using 4 rocket pods). When I entered POI with SV like in second picture I could pass through drop-box, and after I exit SV for short time Zirax in base started shooting again at me from everywhere - and all this floating boxes despaired! That is why I placed this bug here, it does look to me like everything could be connected with some 'trigger zones' and detection systems...
I don't know what happened there, but that drone base should not be spawning that high above ground level as you show. Also the floating boxes on an invisible barrier sounds like terrain glitchiness or blueprint tampering (turning off the 'flatten terrain' box), or something. Most likely an old playfield not compatible with new game builds or something.
I've been having a similar issue of outside enemy shooting through the walls of the POI. Not sure if it's connected, but I do not attack the Zirax they seem to ignore me. Once I attack them, they will attack me . The rockets and beams go right throughout the bldg. I can be at the lowest floor in the POI, an the can still hit me. With that said, the turrets on the POI do not seem to react even when ground troops are attacking me. The spawners within the POI also does not seem to spawn troops within the POI. Not sure if the turrets and POI Spawners are tied together. I've also noticed that spiders seem to attack my base and go right through the walls and attack players within the base. They get stuck in blocks, then attack you from the blocks they are stuck in. Only way to deal with this is to remove the block using the multi tool and killing the spider. Have to concur with this. I've noticed the exact trigger happen when i step out of my sv , progress a bit shooting some zirax, and the moment i come near my vessel again (for some reason) the whole spawned enemies inside the base open fire as if there is no base at all. Jumping back in your vessel does not end their fire. At first i thought enemies shoot at the vessel now and kinda liked this as before enemies were never triggered when you are inside a vehicle. But i'm guessing now the reason they keep shooting from inside the base or outside is because the enemy does not register either the base or your vehicle at all at that point. Hence they do not stop firing. Edit : Come to think of it, i notice patrolling Zirax seem to be triggered whenever you engage their base on foot and some patrols seem to move in from their patrol route. Could it be that this patrol behaviour gets copied to the enemy inside and at that point it no longer registers neither base or vessel ? Just a thought as patrols start from an outside perspective, rather then inside.
I'm wondering if its a side-effect bug of the NPCs now able to move from 'terrain' to 'structure' ... and mixed with the new cut-out/topsoil settings... that the npcs inside the structure THINK they are on terrain (when not), and thus ignoring the structure and shooting like mad... because they are 'below ground' and can see you (like you can when you godmode under the surface). All amount of mayhem.

Some things I noticed from a player regarding the zirax POI issue: Zirax new spawns can shoot through walls, this behavior is inherited to existing zirax in the POI Zirax spawn under poi area Zirax ignore cover, will shoot out walls to kill target Zirax rocket guys seem to be more prevalent than others (but it does affect others) All POIs with Zirax and Creatures have this behvaior (not POI specific). Spiders seem to also have the defect behavior as well, if they spawn in a POI Not sure what triggers it beyond spawn plates for zirax.
Does this happen with the most recent PUBLIC update or is this a finding that happened before the latest patch?
this problem happened on my server 14 hours ago (which should be after the last update, isn't it?). A friend and I wanted to raid a base. After killing all visible turrets the friend left his ship and the whole base started to shoot at both of us. Shots came everywhere through the bases ground and walls so I decided to bomb the shots origins away. After the whole surface was dust the NPCs returned to normal behaviour, acting exactly as I'm used to. I could try to reproduce that with a backup I made 2 updates ago if another savegame is needed...
I can confirm today it is *not* resolved. A player was playing on our server today with similar issues; robot spawned inside the Xenu Mainframe block was able to shoot from within the block and shoot out his SV cockpit. Will try and get a save to you soon.
