I go to talk to him and his dialogue box pops up blank and their is no chat or option to do anything except close the window. Did you continue an 1.9.x savegame with 1.10 maybe? In this case there is no real "fix" but to either ignore that and continue or restart new. (Sorry for the inconvenience, but so many things have changed in that regard that it was impossible to make sure it is fully backwards compatible :/ )
