We changed that because Decon and Furnace INSTANTLY will start to work when a container gets connecte...maybe not what you want when you in the midst of setting up your product queue
Oh right. That button. I love that button too. I found out about renaming, but I wasn't aware it had to be in a group. Cool stuff.
Hi devs, I like the new logistics system with weight and volume as limiters, however, I find the number of unique stacks in a massive extended container to be a frustrating and arbitrary limiting factor. My friends and I like to throw all our resources, into one massive storage device and have our constructors feeding off of it. While it is no where near volume or weight limits, we keep having to manually clean out junk to make space for other varied resources and items we like to throw in there. Would it be possible to have the box's interface automatically extend with a scroll bar on the side, so that we can keep stockpiling in that one large container, so long as there is weight and volume? Item micro-management between multiple boxes and changing constructors to the appropriate box can really detract from other aspects of the system.
Another suggestion would be to have the F2 factory connected to the logistics network. Now you have to constantly switch between F2 and your network to load all the resources up. And one more: the character can carry around 500 volume, but a hover container can only take 250? I would expect the hover container to be able to have at least the same amount as the character.
Since the 9.2 it isn't possible anymore to destroy the spawners of the Alien Scorpions. Is this intened behavior or a bug? I can't find anything about it in the patchnotes.
Cargo Container vs Cargo Extension BA-CV 1 Cargo Container be it 1x1 (8k) or 1x2 (16k) use 1pu, so far so fine. 1 Cargo Extension witch is always 1x1 uses THEN, 10 PU ??? really ?
Cargo Extensions BA-CV vs SV-HV BA-CV max size per controller 320k = 40 x 8k = 40x 1x1 boxes including controller. SV-HV max size per controller 32k = 256 x 125 = 256 1x1 boxes including controller. you can't be serious about this !? to unload my personal backpack into a SV-HV i would need 4 cargo extensions ??!!
I just started a 9.2 new game a couple days ago. All was going pretty well until I try to make a Food Processor, and it is not in the Constructor! I DO have the skill unlocked in the talent tree to make it, but it does not appear in either the Survival or Small Constructors. I have the mats for it too, but even if I didn't, I thought it still shows there, but shaded color. Is anyone else missing the food processor in 9.2? or am I missing something?
so base and CV container controllers have a max of 320k volume but also 128 slot cap. the slot cap is something i would like to ask about, as in y is it a thing? It feels like we are stuck in a weird place between the old system and the new. i have 2 different suggestions to get u past this and both will commit the game to the volume system. Of witch i quite like the idea of, but a few tweaks to make if feel smooth and efficient to use. 1. remove the slot limit or make it something really high like a 1000 2. remove the stack limit. ingots currently stack at 999, remove the limit and it will solve several other inefficiencies, inventory clutter being the first and biggest one. I would prefer option 2 but in an ideal world i hope we could have both, side note but still on topic, ingots have different volumes i think they should all have the same volume of 1 SU, just with different mass. good old standardization. thanks for your time and hard work
Stack size could be around 60K for most stuff as default. It is graphical space enough to write 6 digits, where already uses (at least) 16 bits (word) to store 999 (unless use some bit compression algorithm). The mass and volume should then be the delimiter factor on how much you can fill up a device with storage. I try avoid playing with MV anyway, so less 1 slot items is good.
