I like that a large part of the ship looks like it's devoted to the retrieval/storage/processing of ore even if it's really just cosmetic. It actually makes the ship feel like a big freighter that serves that specific purpose.
What do you think about this one? I tried to do starship looking like navy warship. It has all that is neccessary for PvE flying base for 2-3 players. Is internal drive a good idea? http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=843260975 http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=843260975 http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=843260975 http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=843260975 http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=843260975 http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=843260975 http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=843260975 http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=843260975
Tried my hand at a fully-featured, warp-capable, cheap, small starter CV. My unoriginal name is the Hopper (there are several others with the same name I have found, oh well ) - Warp capable - Large Constructor (upgrade to Advanced when you get the mats) - Large pad at the top for SV and HV (with possibility to install a repair bay when you have the mats). The upper position helps protect the docked SVs and HVs from sides and below. - Ramps to help HV get to the pad. The ramp does not extend to the ground to help with rough terrain, and HVs can reach them easily when flying at 3m. - O2 and Medic - Grow plots - Food processor and Fridge - Defensive cannon and ammo box - Gravity Generator - Harvest Box and space for a Drill Turret when you get the mats to build it (behind the docking pad) - 1 Cockpit and 4 passenger seats (then is space for more if needed) - Cargo - Some internal space left blank if you want more cargo or other customization More armored versions are available. Here are all the versions on Steam: - Hopper: Steel version http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=847239020 - Hopper HS: Hardened Steel version http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=847306225 - Hopper CS: Combat Steel version http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=847360357 EDIT: fixed links (???)

Polaris Space Industries SXV SXV stands for Space eXploration vessel - and thats just what this ship is designed to do. SXV is for spacefarers who are budget conscious and wish to roam from planet to planet in a relatively small vessel that still offer great space for all the necessary equipment. That's right, SXV is fully warp capable! Also SXV can carry two - thats right, two - additional vehicles. One in the hangar and one on the top landing pad. SXV is ready to take on any challenge the vastness of space is able to throw at you! (Polaris Space Industries is not held responsible for any accidents related to improper use or handling of SXV. Limited Warranty. Any combat activity - whether the user is active counterpart or not - will void the warranty). Available in two different versions - BASIC which can be kitted out as the customer chooses - and DELUXE which full range of equipment already fitted. SXV BASIC http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=849752368 SXV DELUXE http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=849752457 SXV Deluxe has turrets - a mining turret and minigun turret. SXV has a very large hangar for a ship of its size. In addition to the hangar bay, SXV has landing pad on top of the ship... ... with entry to the vessel itself on the roof. Rear of the ship houses engines, warp drive and room for indoor hydrophonic garden (already fitted in the Deluxe version). Hangar bay houses the essentials of everyday operation - including advanced constructor, repair bay and medical facilities (Deluxe version only, Basic comes with storage boxes and oxygen).
So far I've seen all these huge-ass freighters and mining turrets slapped on top of almost every large capital vessel but one thing we don't seem to have is dedicated asteroid mining machine, so I decided to create one! It's small, it's fugly, it costs next to nothing, but due to mining turrets it's level requirement is 18 :/ I can publish the barebones version as well ,which is not warp capable and at level 10 as well if someone wants, just say so. This thing is cheaper than our original starting CV, capable of warping, growing it's own food and has all the necessities needed for survival on those long mining trips, plus amble space on top for whole fleet of my Mini ships or few large SV's of your choice. I do have one! A small only-for-mining CV that is. Already posted here but here's a link anyway http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=846083116 And its dirt cheap with only ~800 iron. Now the thing I'm gonna build next (or one of the things Im gonna build next) is huge-ass freighter mining barge! ;-) Probably not as useful but hey - sometimes its about the looks & feel, not the actual practical usefulness. But I do I like your design, it does look practical and probably does its job well.
Hi all. I just published 3 more ships to round out my GRA Federation fleet. Still working on the last one and I have some decoration work and lcds the throw down on these, but for the most part they're ready for action. Hope everyone enjoys! Here are the steam links. USS-Vanowen: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=800975918 USS Saticoy: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=850803281 USS Roscoe: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=850803351 USS Kittridge: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=850803419
And - finally - a big, fat mining vessel. Check out the Ulysses: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=850894536
Decided to make yet another replica from Eve Online, a 1/2 scale Caldari Raven. This time I had help from a model importer for the shell but it still required a lot of work to finish. The interior is so large I decided to create an internal tram to get around http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=850849964
Downloaded it. Needed to take a look. Very nice done. And this one certainly has the agility of a Raven.
So, after roughly 50 man-hours, probably 25 of which have been spent on texturing, the plucky Space Moles engineers finally refused to do any more painting. What we were faced with was publishing an unpainted (mostly) hull, and you know what? We thought fudgeknacker it! Fresh from the MoelWerks shipyards, our ultra-specialised Derp-Space Exploration Vessel; Circe! Do that clicky thang! It totally doesn't look like that legendary ship from ye olde cartoones! Honest. Accidental similarities aside, we're quite pleased with her. Spoiler: Did someone say "build a vertical ship"?
Thanks Neal! As I hope you know, I'm a big fan of your work too. Would love to collaborate on something if you're ever interested. See you in space!
CV-Hercules - mid-size, multirole PvP combat ship. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=843360075 It has: - Small hangar for Hover; - Small hangar for SV; - Landing pad on top; - Every type of Guns installed; - XL drive for main propulsion; - Side armor 2-3 blocks or more; - Front armor up to 9 blocks; - Moderate fuel consumption. Main purpose: - Space combat with possibility to land on planet. Only problem - armor ignoring bug. Even special protection doesn't save on 100%.
