Amun Ra: Fully armed and operational assault carrier. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=862094831 The Amun Ra is a Class 6 heavily armed and armored assault carrier. It is the big brother of the armed explorer Nefertiti, and follows similar design principles. It is fully Combat Steel armored, including using "slope" internal walls to mitigate the bug where shots can clip through solid walls (as of 5.3.0). It has a relatively small frontal profile, and the center of mass is such that the landing footprint is small for a ship this size, even though the ship is fairly long. The ship is made of Hardened Steel and is outfitted with 4 Minigun turrets for drone and mob duty. I made this ship to be a carrier for my Armadillo harvesting HV's http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=861837277 to expedite meteor harvesting. it has a warp drive and a food processor and fridge, but no growing plots. Also absent is any form of constructor. The ship has bay doors and ramps on the front and backside for easy ingress/egress, although I can spin my Armadillo HV easy inside of the bay. I left out the repair block to make building this ship a bit easier and in its place is a connector block in the middle of the repair bay pained yellow where it is normally placed. The CV includes: • 27 Thrusters • 4 Minigun Turrets • 28 lights • 9 Flares • 6 Oxygen tanks • 4 T3 Fuel tanks • 6 Cargo boxes • 1 Ammo box • 1 RCS (ship spins on a dime) The ship flies pretty well in atmo. I have only used hydrogen to fuel it and it lasts reasonably well while I am farming. It's not an efficient machine, but it's also not a complete gas hog. The ship has really sped up my time harvesting meteors. I considered making it more simple and lighter, but because I use this off planet, I needed something more durable. Thank you for looking. The upper position helps protect the docked SVs and HVs from sides and below. - Ramps to help HV get to the pad. The ramp does not extend to the ground to help with rough terrain, and HVs can reach them easily when flying at 3m. - O2 and Medic - Grow plots - Food processor and Fridge - 2 x Defensive cannons and ammo box - Gravity Generator - Harvest Box and space for a Drill Turret when you get the mats to build it (behind the docking pad) - 3 Cockpits and 3 passenger seats (then is space for more if needed) - Cargo - Some internal space left blank if you want more cargo or other customization
I was digging on my old backup of saved files of Empyrion (pre-alpha stuff) and manage to find a special blueprint of mine. The Borg-Cube CV. Renewed with current blocks and published on steam workshop. I hope you like a simple CV that even has a docking area, open but anyone may use hangar doors. Two cannons perfect for assault POIs also. Fit with two constructors, food processor, growning plots, oxygen, and special area to dock an average SV or a SV and a HV. All thrusters are inside and in a special engineering room. BORG CUBE

Here's a CV I keep finding myself using. For a CV it's small, well armed, and has enough room for a small SV and HV. I haven't done any PVP with it since the turret update, but it should still be viable in most combat situations with it's high maneuverability. I would recommend ditching the landing gear and hiding the weapons within the structure. Borg vessels have nothing protruding. Also, more green lights. Good effort, though. Cheers.
Here's a little background: "The series Sterne Lanze, was built in three copies, two of which was shot under unknown circumstances. And though the ship made a splash during the release of the first instance, large, huge fuel consumption, slim for its size, armor and slowness made these ships quite an easy target. In this regard, the third ship after the construction of the remained space of the shipyard was then purchased by a private individual, whose name is carefully concealed. About 13 years, and no where did the 3 instance, however, the network appeared shots of the ship, very similar to the previous Lanze, but still has differences from the original. New low felling, shields from plasma and laser weapons. A greater number of engines and other changes visible on the photos. I tell you a secret, it's all the same Lanze, except that he was twice as heavy, 3 times faster and ten times more powerful as a defense and weapon." The ship seems happy, but kind of not. You know, toss the Slippers for size and voracity. For a possible bug with flying through the shell into the kernel, etc., but what it is, I love big ships. Spoiler: Photos Sternenlanze
That is a pretty slick ship. I was blown away when I saw the 515,000 iron required and the fact that its 150 blocks long. I was gonna attempt a "real" CV, but I don't think I could ever farm that amount. WOW.
i don't understand you people that say it would be almost impossible to mine that amount of iron, we are on a server and each day we gather about 400,000 iron per day, it takes us 50 constructors to smelt it all down in a reasonable time, it only took us about a week to get it setup to this amount, we have about 200 autominers going all the time on a few different planets gathering all the stuff needed to make ships and bases, we just spawned in a ship that takes 1.8million iron and about 400,000 sathium

Spoiler: Background story Omega Outpost" was originally a RPG setting some friends of mine came up with 10 years ago. It is about a small colony, that managed to survive a Galactic wide invasion from a insectoid species. When the Colonies government realized that their civilisation was about to fall, a plan arised to put everyone in cryo sleep and shut down everything else. Despite all their effords to stay under the radar, they where found and their planet was bombarded from orbit. Almost all technology had been destroyed. Only the deepest caverns, where the cryo chambers where stored, couldn be reachded by the falling death from above and stayed relatively unharmed. Nevertheless, something went wrong and the survivors woke up several thousand years later in the midst of a almost completely destroyed colony and a obliterated wasteland on the planets surface. In the midst of a post apocalyptic wasteland they began to rebuild their colony almost from scratch again. When they found a massive spaceship hidden in the mountains their technology got kickstarted again and after only few generations they where able to rebuild and rediscover what was lost and they could even develop basic a space program. Step by step they got back into building spaceships and began to cautiously scout the local star system and the close stellar neighborhood, seeking for materials, allies and possible threats. PS: I can't wait until we finally got some decent shield systems and SV-HV docking.
