    I don't want to discuss here the pros/cons of the CPU system, it serves its purpose when it comes to ship / base constructions and foremost: It can be disabled in the options for those who don't like it.
    But the current CPU system has major drawbacks when it comes to ship damages, especially in the case of unarmored SV ships. What happens is that if you lose a single extender, then you are back to T1 and you have to throw equipment out of your ship to accomodate T1 in order to be able to fly again. This should be somewhat tweaked, especially for those players who play with volume ON, and here is a simple suggestion for it:

    In the case of a T2, T3, T4 ship...
    Losing 1 extender will...
    - Reduce your overall ship performance to 50% but maintaining your current CPU status for 3 minutes;
    - Powering-off the ship will pause the 3 minute timer;
    - After 3 minutes your current CPU status is lost and in order to continue flying you have to change your ship setup to keep to the CPU rules (or your devices may overheat and get destroyed, and your ship will stop flying like in the current game version.)

    Losing 2 or more extenders will...
    play out like in the current version - which mostly means you are immediately at T1 and need to change your ship setup to fly again.

    I hope this makes more sense than the current playout!
