These are the limits for a default survival game. Server admins have the option to turn the restriction on and off.
Can start a single player with the restrictions off. Or fiddle with config files. Or use console command. BA solar panels types can be mixed, up to a total of 15.
I often had the issue of placing too many of an object on a build when building in creative or even survival as the restrictions are off by default, no block limit in sp survival by default, so i built something thinking it was standard legit and it was not until I try to use in a server I discover the issue. I have since trained myself to check the limits in each block description. On top of that some servers have their own custom restriction settings that confuse the matter even more. Thanks to this list though I now understand that there is a limit of 1 artillery per hv lol Which is a shame because i made a naval battleship hv and a very small class too and it needed 1 art front and back to work.
I modified the post to say BA/CV Repair Bay T1 / T2 - 1 BA Solar Panels / BA Solar Panels (small) - 15 Hopefully that resolves the confusion.
I believe HVs are also limited to 4 hover thrusters as well. (The green ones that give hover + movement + RCS)
Actually no, if you edit the config.ecf you can do anything you want regarding the weapon limit Spoiler (and other things as well).
Wow, that's umm... great. Actually no, It also doesn't help people know the default limits of the game, which appears to be the purpose of this thread. Instead of telling people "No, you're wrong. These are the limits I set for myself."
The title of the OP states nothing about default limits. I just showed that the limits are flexible. They can be defined by the player.
Aside from building a monorail, the only real reason I could conceive for having two cockpits would be vomit-testing. One cockpit forward, one backwards, two XL thrusters pointing in opposite directions and spin. Whoever pukes first cleans up afterwards.
Forward facing cockpit to control the forward facing mining drills. Backward facing cockpit to control the backward facing harvesters.
