Current Device Limits

    I could too 30 x 100 people is 3000 panels to track. 15 x 100 people is half that. 16 though... might be safe. But if a config edit is all it takes....

    try it out how it will be :) might work very well.

    Many of the limits will be looked at for A10 anyway with CPU in mind :)

    CPU will be interesting, provided we have a means of increasing it, and/or some means of tying signals to it to control what gets shut off at various thresholds.

    If u get a way to increase it idk, maybe u can increase it on the core with a custom config. But the limit whats currently on the core will be put higher. We cant test it yet our self since its not done. Maybe this week we can test it our self with a first test.

    I was thinking, given some of the console items we have, these could be used to increase CPU - perhaps adding one of those computer mainframe looking consoles could add 50 CPU, while requiring some power draw. Something along those lines.

    That's what i did on my own server. But since nothing really is decided yet then some device limits it doesn't work :).

    CPU is a very difficult topic since allot comes in play

    Wait, wait, wait: we can set devices to provide CPU right now using the config file? Looks like I have some work to do this evening . . .

    No, the CPUOut doesnt work. It shows the device gives CPU in game but nothing is added to the max cpu limit

    Only it works on the core

    Renamed the CV/SV Warp Drive Tanks to Pentaxid Tank.

    Added the BA/HV Pentaxid tanks.
    Added the BA/CV/HV/SV Polarized Hull Shields.
    Added BA/CV/HV/SV Wireless Connection.
    Added HV Large Drill Module.

    Please let me know if I missed anything.

    How exactly do I configure my server to ignore the turret limit on vessels? What is the command and in what file? Thank you in advance for helping

    Also, if you know, what file/command do I need to add so that auto-miners do not deplete the ore when they are running?

    You would need to edit the config.ecf file, it is not something I am familiar with but others in the forums will be able to help you.

    AFAIK, it is pointless raising turret limit except to get 21 of the same type as the game engine can only fire 21 (if that is stull the correct number) on a player vessel. Not sure about patrol vessels like the new zirax dreadnought with 100+ turrets however - that seems to be able to fire alot more at the same time.

    Anyone have an update on state of this?

    You can only fire 21 fixed weapons at the same time.
    Turrets are unlimited (excluding any AI bugs).

    So in theory a CV with a max compliment of weapons should have all turrets able to AI fire at the same time now?

    Ie 8 sentry, 12 mini/cannon, 10 rocket/flak and 10 laser/plasma?

    TBH, These limits are becoming a bit of a nonsense when enemy ships have 100+ firing turrets on them...

    Yes. All turrets should be able to fire. And if you have block limits disabled this means that you can also have 100 rocket turrets on your own CV. Of course this depends on if your computer or server can handle it. :D
