Mode: Survival Mode: Singleplayer SERVER NAME: NA SEED-ID: Any If applicable: MODIFIED PLAYFIELDS: Yes Reproducibility: Always (almost) Severity: Major Type: NPC Traders Summary: Custom traders don't work in scenarios uploaded to the workshop. Description: When including a custom TraderNPCConfig.ecf in a scenario, if the scenario is one you have uploaded to the workshop, attempting to access a custom trader will fail with a CoQ error. Default traders will work. The custom trader file works fine if the scenario has not been uploaded to the workshop, or if the custom trader file is placed in the default Empyrion location. Starting multiple new games alternating between a workshop and non-workshop version of the scenario without completely restarting Empyrion can sometimes cause the workshop version to work or the non-workshop version to bug. Steps to Reproduce: Make sure your TraderNPCConfig.ecf in Empyrion - Galactic Survival/Content/Configuration is default (verify files). Start a new game using the TestTrader2 scenario. Talk to the two NPC traders in the starting building, one default, and one custom. Note that the custom one has custom greeting text. Completely quit Empyrion. From the start new game menu, upload the scenario to the Steam workshop as "private". Completely quit Empyrion. Start a new game using the now uploaded TestTrader2 scenario. Talk to the two NPC traders. The custom one will give a CoQ error and won't work. Screenshots, Crash Logs, any other Relevant Information or Download links: Log attached. Attached is a custom scenario that spawns you in a base with a custom and a default food trader for use in reproducing. The only thing changed in the custom trader is the trader's name, the trader's "sellinggoods" section, and the trader's greeting text. Several people have said they get a CoQ error when accessing the custom traders in my scenario in single player. I don't know if this is the same problem or not.
Thanks this will be looked into. The logs would need to be supplied to be able to say if they are or aren't the same issue.
I had CoQ error on some custom traders, also custom traders I could access (luxury, from memory) were empty.
If it helps any, people have said that the custom trader file is included in the workshop download folder, but it seems the game isn't actually activating it from that folder?
