Uh, DSC may have aquired the rights to that tech before the Great Collapse on Earth. It was cheap at the time, everyone was selling assets and buying booze and cyanide. Since DSC was once a chief supplier of those two products to a wide range of markets...

 

Well that IS why I joined up, the staff discount on my replacements and all.....

 

You do realize we have no idea where the old manufacturing equipment for that stuff landed right? Nor the library module where the plans to make new ones are stored. We have got some searching to do.

I wonder if we will be able to attach rocket engines to asteroids and move them into orbit and use them as space station platforms.

 

That is a lot to ask, maybe just copy n past would be less expensive.

 

Yea, but think about it, we could have an asteroid that looks like Angel Island or somesuch.
