So I decided to come back to Empyrion for version 1.2. I made a number of designs before playing, which appeared legal in the editor, respecting CPU limits an accounting for mass and cargo mass. When I came to start a game, some of my designs were disallowed for breaching block / device limits. Worse, there is no message clearly explaining which limit is breached, either in the Survival game or the Creative mode.

I decided to just turn off device limits for now. I would in the long run like to comply. Firstly though, with the advent of the CPU system, device limits seems unnecessary and artificial to me.

In the short term, is there any easy way to find the problems? Some are easy but some of my designs seem compliant.

Also, is there any way to update designs on Steam without deleting them? I do not want to have to download and re-upload all my pictures again. Also, how do I edit the preview picture of my designs?

Open the console and use the command: prefabinfo 'blueprint name' and it should list any illegal blocks or devices over the block limit on that saved blueprint.
