ok so i am running a dedicated server through GTxgaming and running EAH on it and i can not for the life of me figure out with GTXgaming where i go to change server settings like food consumption and other things like block count and so on cause in saved games i do not have a normal gameoption.yaml folder there is only these three lines in it and i can not figure out how to edit game settings so need some help please. the stuff below is all that is in my gameoption.yaml file under saved games and i tried adding to it but it goes back to this. Options: - DSLUnloadSecs: 0 DSLDistancePlanet: 0 DSLDistanceSpace: 0
GameOptions.yaml in the SaveGameFolder You can only change this file when the Server is OFFLINE Just add the lines there since the file will ONLY show modified settings. Any setting that is Default will be removed once the Server boots up
i have added them once i start the server it goes right back to the three things i posted above being in there only
Hi, when I try running the dedicated server using EAH everything seems to run just fine in the background such as the playfield etc. However, even after portforwarding with the correct ports and double checking firewall settings, the server does not appear under LAN when I check the steam server browser, nor does it show up in the game. According to EAH everything is up and running as it should be though. Is there something extra I need to modify with the firewall settings to get it to appear? Edit: Fixed the issue by going into the firewall settings and entering the Allow an App Through Firewall section, then I added both the DedicatedServer and PlayfieldServer applications into it. Only the DedicatedServer was enabled so I'm assuming that's why it didn't appear on the server lists before.
If i'm renting a server without access to windows but FTP access, am I able to download the latest version of EAH Full and use FTP to upload the full version files for full functionality or is windows access still required? If no, then if the server is running the light version but I have the full version on my PC, do I have access to full features?
Hey, that does not work. You cant run anything on a hosted server without the permission and help of the hoster. You can only use the lite on your pc connecting to the server
Well I'm still trying to figure out if the full version of EAH is on the server end or not. Judging by the version number it seems to be the full version but I'd like to be able to verify somehow. Also, to update the server end am I able to copy and paste the folders via FTP since the hoster's version is one version behind?
OK the place i'm renting from has the full version and told me to just copy and paste using ftp the new files instead of updating their version. I tried this and all that happened is it broke EAH. Do I have a way with FTP to get to the latest update or am I stuck waiting on them?
Okay I think we're having a missunderstanding. This is installing the full version of EAH I believe, I just am trying to get the latest version that fixes the warp issues.
Hey, sorry. I did not know that hoster supports EAH Full. Never heard from or about them. But you have to ask them for guidance. In case the version from steam is really older then the manual download you can of course upload a newer version as long as the hoster allows uploading exe and dll files. But I doubt that. And to do so EAH needs to be turned off. How to do that you also have to ask your hoster.
No worries. I spoke to someone at support and they are working on getting the latest updated version of EAH for me. My hoster kept telling me to upload the new files via FTP but it kept breaking EAH but that will be resolved now since they are finally working on updating their version. Hi im renting a server at Nitrado.net i have modified config-file i want to upload to the server. in the FTP i tried several locations, restarted the server many times and tested if that itemsconfig file would have been accepted. invain. please help ! can you give me the right folder-path in which i have to copy my Config and ItemsConfig ?
Hi. I am not using EAH... i use my FileZilla FTP i always use for every other server i hosted. I want to know in which folder i have to put these config files in order to work ingame might have to @Taelyn™ again, because ive searched this Topic and found nothing about itemsconfig. Hi Taelyn, im pulling your card ! i tried several folders, restarting everytime. it doesnt work. i also asked SifVerT, i think you guys know each others. he told me to put the files into "Scenario". also didnt work. I must be doing something wrong. Whats the exact location ?
