Even though it's only the experimental I doubt they'll be adding much more within the 5 days to release, if that's what you were implying. Though to be fair I think I saw them say somewhere that the initial 1.0 will mostly be fixes and new content/bigger changes won't be until after the 5th.
Maybe, I liked the idea of putting a sensor above the cockpit of my CV to turn the thrusters on and off when got in or out of the CV. Didn't work, the game didn't recognize that someone was in the cockpit. Will the game recognize someone in the teleporter? Or just that there is a teleporter there.
The game recognised that someone is in the Transporter and only switched on then. The problem @RazzleWin pointed out to me was that once you transported, the Sensor did not switch off. This has now been fixed for Single Players
So long as this 1.0 comes out with as many bug fixes as possible I am ok with it. Alpha 12 already added so much. I'm thinking however we will probably have a release of factions in 1.0. I would like to see Raven add his Syndicate and Swarm factions as separate entities rather than Pirate and Legacy factions.
The main thing is that v 1.0 isnt a new release or totally new version, it is about marking a development stage change, and as such I wouldnt expect any major changes. It is however nice to see as many bug fixes as possible to reach the release.
I will share something some of you may not like but I really do think that the game is under-priced for all the features it has right now. They may raise the price with 1.0 and if they keep only fixing bugs and improving the main core of the game it'll still be a win. New factions could come in the form of a DLC along with some more complex relationships and commerce. What I'd really like to see is little random missions when visiting POIs by friendly factions. If it is moddable enough anyone could create side stories and subscribe to a Steam Workshop and the content would be added to the game you are already playing. The Sims 4 has mods that gets integrated into the game harmoniously and has opened so many possibilities. Sadly the expansions are so overpriced.
I like the idea of factions not important to the story but as "spice" to shoot at as being a dlc product considered cannon but are too small in the grand scheme of things to affect the story. Something like Total War II: Warhammer dlc factions come to mind. I know it's divided player opinion of that game but the game devs need some form of revenue to keep going.
I think he thought this actual patch was the officilal Public v1.0 release. I guess we'll get some bells and whistles when it comes out on the 5th of august, as it is an Anniversary Edition.
the TP has 3 modes: 1 active meaning powered up and teleporting someone 2. idel meaning powered up but not teleporting anyone 3. standby meaning powered up but still receiving signals all 3 have diff power reqs. even powered down (3# will still at least consume CPU.)
Please don't do what I suggested. The game is fine the way it is. I think the teleporter bug was the reason my fuel reserves where draining so fast. If you don't take too long choosing where you want to go it doesn't take too much fuel anyway.
I was also disappointed, although it makes sense for a hotfix to precede a release. I believe that it is the combination of the words "launch", "birthday" and "celebration" that brings us this expectation of something new coming ....
Important question... I wonder what sort of Cake they're going to add to commemorate this occasion? I like cake, even virtual ones. Scoob.
You know about the cake, right ? Didn't you see the warnings on the walls at Aperture Science ? It should be a Black Forest cake. But...
