I would like to make a content suggestion... It would be great to get more variety in POIs. Maybe 3 versions of a type of POI? For example, drone bases are all the same it seems. Having 3 versions the game can choose from would bring more of a random feel to the game rather than the cookie cutter one at the moment. Even to have the different difficulty levels be different POIs. Where it's not just the NPCs that are more challenging, but the higher the level of the difficulty, the larger/more complex/more heavily defended they are. Like LVL 1-2 is POI version A, LVL 3-4 is POI version B and LVL 5 is POI version C. Just my 2 cents. I wouldn't mind forking out $$$ for a DLC that adds dozens of POI variations. As a side question, why are there no NPC HVs or SVs? Thanks for reading and cheers!
No. A DLC should either bring nice cosmetics, or meaningful content updates to the base game beyond just adding more variations of existing POIs. I'd rather see something like armor skins/weapon cosmetics in a cosmetic DLC, or a new content update that includes new missions and such for the base game. And done in a way to be seamlessly integrated into the entire game, unlike the dark faction DLC where it has no integration at all.
Cosmetics!? Seriously!? Who care what colour you can change your armour or weapons to. More actual gameplay content is what a DLC is for. And why couldn't these new POIs introduced not come with missions either individually or as part as chain. POIs can add so much more to the game. Gated doors that require you to preform a specific task to proceed. Introduction of bosses. Unique rewards to expand the available weapons and armour.
Almost no POIs currently in the game were created by the devs. Almost all of them were built and submitted by players. Yes. This makes it an optional purchase that does not lock game power or mechanics behind a paywall. Because your original suggestion didn't mention missions or new content at all, just new variations of existing POIs. Variations of existing POIs is not very exciting and certainly not worth a purchase price.
The word you are looking for is players. Nearly every last POI in the game was designed, built, and submitted by players. If you are going to give snarky replies then at least make sure you are correct first.... The developers don't have time for POIs which is why it has always been a player made thing. So a DLC that just sells player made POIs back to the players is beyond ridiculous, and would likely NOT go over well on the player base. Not to mention the fact that we can already create our own custom scenarios with all the POIs we could want, for free. Heck I could subscribe to the entirety of the Workshop right now if I wanted and put every last player built structure into my game as a POI, again for free. So why should I pay money for them to do what I can already do for free? Remember, the original post and the resulting survey you did is ONLY about POI variations. Not more missions or anything else. DLC for POIs only was your original point.
Is a variation on POI's a good DLC? : NO! it's on a level with Bethesda's Horse Armour! I think that looking through the suggestions threads would give you a better idea of what players value if you wish to generate more income. But it has to be a separate entity from the game, though, a story that can be played out and rewarded in this universe in such a way where those that buy into the DLC won't be paying to have better gear, the true reward should be the journey
