This post is part questions and part ideas.

    The questions I have are:
Is it possible to have an orbit/space playfield inside another orbit/space playfield?
Is it possible for orbit playfields to have gravity toward their center?
Can Planet playfields have no surface?
If you can remove the planet surface then can you drop out of the bottom of a planet playfield to another planet playfield?
Can there be Bad weather in Orbit playfields such as ion storms or meteor showers?

The ideas I have for the Qs above would be to make odd anomalies in space such as gravity rifts, Black holes, ion storms, Gas giants and such.

Gravity rifts could be alternate ways to warp to other systems or planet playfields, maybe even cheaper as the closer you get to the center the cheaper the warp gets but at a cost of possibly damaging/destroying your ship if you fall to deep before warping.
Gravity rifts could also have a chance to throw you to a temp playfield that isnt normally on the star map.
This temp PF could be another anomaly like a comet, empty space (maybe with a wreckage or even a derelict ship you can take or loot), Zirax armada (unlucky), or really anything. When you are done exploring you can warp out (if you have fuel) effectively deleting the temp PF. It could be a short jump to a random normal playfield

Ion storms could overload shields, confuse navigation, communication and radar systems but maybe also boost damage and range for energy based weapons, boost energy output from power generators, boost construction speed of constructors. This could be useful for charging capacitors without using solar panels too.

Meteor showers in space could damage blocks (based on severity of the storm) that are not shielded by either a shield generator, another object in the direction of the meteors of just having really strong materials.
Could have a passing small moon PF or just asteroids with ore that move across the playfield.

For gas giants they could be set up where you have a space PF you warp to that is the same as a normal PF except it is called the outer orbit.
At the center is what appears to be a planet but when entering you are then at another space PF (inner orbit) and the planet shows up a bit larger and maybe has slight gravity inward. Maybe warping isn't allowed here.
Go in further and you are in the upper atmosphere (space or planet type PF) that is higher gravity, maybe breathable, normal planet weather etc but no surface to land on.
As you drop down you go into yet another PF (deep atmosphere) with even higher gravity, loads of fog, bad weather and such. You would need decent engines to escape as the gravity is high.
You can then drop down another PF depth to the Planet core Playfield where there is very high gravity, very bad weather super dense fog effects, a "Crushing" debuff on ships and players exposed that does damage at a constant fairly fast rate. Only the strongest materials and engines on small ships would be able to survive if anything at all. The planet could be say a small deep water world with no landmass until you hit the bottom of the ocean.

There could be space station type POIs and CVs/SVs/Drones in the upper atmosphere, and maybe in the future there could be devices to harvest materials from the atmosphere so there is more reason to visit.
The bottom of the ocean can also be covered with really rare materials really close together making the plunge worth wile if you can get there, not die and then return.

I could imagine a hollow planet with landmasses but where oceans would be are holes that fall to a molten core type playfield. (long shot for this one)

    Thoughts?
Has anyone tried having playfields set up this way?

Not possible with current mechanics. Doesn't mean they couldn't add them later though.
