Running into some graphic issues.... I use the titan mid section as a base and I have noticed that when I return to the game after a logout or save that the mid section is full of trees and plants but it was not this way when the game was fresh. Anyone else notice this?
I've experienced the 'earth data' being randomly reset since before there were trees. Supposedly it has to do with serverlag. Haven't experienced it in creative singleplayer, but it happens on servers. Including not just my own, but even the devs own public server
Known Bug, already Reported on the Bug Thread. It got defeated before in a Past Patch, then a Patch or 2 ago, a Zombie Version of this Bug came back from the dead & the Devs need to figure out how to heal it to death & re-kill it.
XSplit/OBS recording software records 1 - 5 FPS while the in-game FPS is between 40 - 120. Does anyone know why that is? I never had this issue with XSplit when I was running on Windows 7 but since I've been forced to Win 10, it's broken. The interesting thing is that if I disable lights in an area, sometimes that improves the recording FPS but doesn't affect the in-game FPS. Suggestions on how to fix this?

That system seems fine. I recorded various tech/bug vids using OBS and they were smooth as the game was at the time. Coupled with your other rare issue where the game crashes on quit for an odd reason... I wonder if you may have something else going on that is not jiving well overall. Cause my bro has OBS on his win10 and its smooth as silk.
I wouldn't be surprised if it IS Win10 problem. There are still some more esoteric and rare hardware compatibility issues when using Win7 and the system is, as one could expect, still more stable and patched than Win10, to my knowledge. Possibly your OS has issues with some of your hardware or its drivers. Make sure your drivers are the newest available, if you have all proper dynamic libraries in all versions and check if vsync may be the culprit, at that - some soft has issues with synchronization it tries then synchronizing on its own, butchering framerate in general. Play around with some other graphical settings and settings of your soft - maybe there's some particular refresh rate setting or other such stuff that is messing with things? I apologize for being able to suggest only such obvious actions.
The jetpack should be default ON when you log in or start a game. I have a terrible time remembering and like 1 out of 10 times the first time i go to use it i'm leaping from a building or a cliff! In space its not a matter of safety if its on or not. Aside from idiots like me, having it default to ON may also help the new player experience.
It's all good, I'm actually considering downgrading my video driver to test that. I'm currently running the 368.81 nVidia driver but I think I'll go back to one of the May ones and see if that's any better. I upgraded my system to 10 in June but I don't remember exactly what date so I won't use those ones. VSYNC is off but normally that would cause in-game frame rate issues, not capture software issues. Soo... Very... Strange...
I'm on 368.81 as well right now. Was on 369.69 just prior and was all good too. Out of curiosity, this ALL began with Windows 10 upgrade, right? Everything with your rig was perfectly fine before then?
Everything was amazing lol! All my recordings that have gone up to YouTube or even live streamed to Twitch were fine before the upgrade. I'm going to probably re-image my machine but it still doesn't make sense why this happens only in the capture software and not in game.
Yes it is very peculiar. Dumb questions time: Have you tried reinstalling the video programs from scratch? Have you tried (if you have a spare HDD) fresh installing win10 and the video programs to see if they behave better? How did you upgrade win10? Upgrade, or clean install?
1. XSplit was completely re-installed from scratch (gotta love registry mining) and OBS was a brand-new install. 2. Just re-imaged my system and my OS is on one SSD while XSplit/Games are on another one. Final storage is on a 4TB mechanical. 3. Just It was 10 Upgrade from 7 Enterprise Recording: 1920x1080p @ Full Screen Windowed Recording: 1280x720p @ Windowed Mode Recording: 1920x1080p @Fullscreen Choppy with all lights turned off and sun coming over the horizon.
Once I tried recording the chop chop going on in-game (due to a bad optimization area), and funny thing was, my OBS recorded it all as 'smooth gameplay' when it was nowhere near that smooth when I was actually playing! LOL!!! I do see the chop in your vids though. That is pretty odd. I really don't have any other ideas at this point. Other than the grab some old hdd, and do a test clean install of just win10, egs, and xsplit/obs (not image your drive... that only preserves and migrates a problem that may exist).
Massive Empyrion fail today: - Playfield crashed when entering Akua with sv - sv gone and i'm kind of stuck in the atmosphere - 4-5 crashes in a row; then i somehow bugged into the atmosphere - trying the xXx thing and managed todo a free fall into water - then i realised i'm on Imarat - wtf?! Thats a bazillion AU away from Akua - Due to the distance no rescue operation could be made because of the lack of fuel/crystals by other players - Lucky me i had more res stored in the factory - producing a basic CV with warp - meanwhile eating corndogs - yes 1st one of course got me a food poisoning. Well done Eleon! - Switching to creative mode to set up cheapest possible BA with constructor and kitchen - back in game spawing cv and producing base - Starting cv to see it flip after take off - thanks to trees and invisible barriers around them - couldnt enter rooftop cv -> drilling into hull -> cant lift off -> shooting down dozens of trees with shotgun -> lift off - Spawning base, getting rid of food poisoning -> starting collecting 50+ crystals in small water formations (good luck) to get back to Akua where all my **** is - Throwing generators into water to get enough oxygen to collect more crystals on the moon and make the jump back - hopefully - Thinking about all the wasted hours where i actually wanted to build a new city somewhere else. But hey why be on Oscutune and build a nice waterworld city when i can have all the fun described above? - Seriously if more of this stuff is going to happen it kills the freedom i liked in Empyrion. Considerung thumping down for the first time!
Not sure if there's a better place, but vehicles handle... weirdly. Is this 'just for now, more work later' or is the handling how they are supposed to work?
My brother n I hope to ole mighty heck, that the flight dynamics we have now are ALL PLACEHOLDER and will be entirely replaced by "anything better" in the future development.
