    With the great return of voxel mining for Alpha 8.0, I couldn't help myself but to make an efficient mining HV.
    Instead of usual designs I went with (almost) the biggest 6 drill area coverage.
    The result is called "Le Glouton", it really is a life saver when mining great ore quantities.
    The design could probably be refined though.

    Hello friends!


    L.Hover - Ranger.

    This hover is designed for easy start, at low cost, only 400 iron, 300 copper and 228 silicon. And also the 5th level of your character.

    He has everything he needs on board:
    [​IMG]
    - Fridge
    - Storage boxes
    - Constructor
    - Ammunition cabinet
    - Boxes for cartridges
    - Oxygen station
    - 2 (!) Oxygen tanks, which will allow the ship to be more autonomous
    - 2 fuel tanks, which allow not to fill the ship very, very long time
    - 1 generator that easily copes with all possible load

    The ship is light and convenient to operate. It has docking nodes both from below and along the sides. Excellent overview from the cockpit.

    It is important to note that it contains 2 machine guns and 2 machine gun turrets that will protect you while you are out of the ship.

    The unusual design of the hover will brighten up your running around the planet and make travel a little bit, but nicer.

    It looks really efficient and neat, I love it!
    However, aren't the turrets obstructed by front guns/cockpit when fighting foot soldiers/spiders ?
    I'll definitely give it a try.

    PS : could you add a direct link to this vessel in your post please? I know there is your whole workshop in your signature but some users (including me) choose to not show them.

    Thanks for the feedback! Turrets are designed more for lateral attacks, when the character is not in Hover. And the file will attach to this answer. :)

    i don´t know if they would be pvp supported but i think so.

    4 new HV´s are under construction in moment.

    the mostly guys knowing the "Groko-Transports" from alpha 5.4 yet. now for alpha 8.0 i´d rebuild them.

    This is an early game exploration hover vessel. though there is plenty of room in the hull to allow for additions late game. It features a constructor, armour locker, 02 station, fridge, two storage crates a radar and Minigun turret.

    It has seating for a driver and two passengers is airtight and has a ventilator for hostile enviroments. It also has a sensor to enlarge the range to open the rear shutter.

    [ATTENTION!! ... updated to 8.0.5 - changed the radar to another turret, and relocated the sensor to the belly of the HV, as the update changed the radar, to an antenna]

    Latest version of the long-living HV that i authored many many full moons ago.
    Currently, the base model is being used at Tier 4 HV by Eleon, who havent kept an eye on the different updates i made for it, so... Here it is ^-^
    Right now, the HV is purely for 8.0.5 Experimental branch, but should, unless changes to HV's are made, work propperly once 8.0.5 is released as stable.

    Not many changes have been made. But there ARE changes:
    Added Medical Bay.
    Added 2x Railguns.
    Added Radar; (Extends Resource / POI discovery range to 2.5km)

    Re-configured some of the boosters, amount of them and a few other things, like added some more detail to the body of the HV

    As it sits straight off the BP, it is level 7, and made from normal steel.
    THIS MEANS! that it will NOT take a pounding any longer. Sure, some punishment is ok, but don't get too over-confident ^-^

    None the less, the original intention remains:
    Versatile HV for the beginning of your life as a space explorer, allowing for multiple different setups on the back platform.

    This is the Asterius a large mobile base style hv

    Fuel capacity: 9600

    Range: 650mins at full speed 2600mins using the low power mode which turns off the thrusters,rcs and hover engines.

    Weaponry: 5x Minigun turrets

    Resources

    Copper: 612
    Silicon: 525
    Iron: 1664

    This hv features all the hv devices essential for a mobile base, fridge, constructor, medical station, 02 station and 4 cargo boxes so you have plenty of space to store materials. There's plenty of height/space to launch your drone inside the hv and I've also managed to keep it pretty manouverable despite its size and it will reach full speed almost immediately.

    It also has hover boosters but with its size they are fairly slow to react and are only meant to help you if you get hung up on something.

    There is a switch in front of the drivers seat that turns off the rcs, hover engines and thrusters for a low power mode that dramatically lowers fuel consumption. And i've also tied all the shutters and ramps to various sensors which are named for ease of use since they are buried inside the hull.
