So - absolutely all players faced situations when around the base - during construction, or firing from turrets at MOBs (NPS) - "HOLES" REMAIN on the surface of the earth (depressions, remote ground ...)
Agree - it WAS STRONGLY PORTERS THE APPEARANCE OF THE LANDSCAPE (!!!) (sadness)

    Here's WHAT I suggest:

In the radial menu of the handheld laser drill - add the "RESTORE LANDSCAPE" function (!!!)

This function should work LIKELY AS IN PHOTOSHOP - "PATCH" tool -> "WITH CONTENTS" fill mode (!)

    In the game - similarly:
The handheld laser drill has a "CIRCLE" - a sight on the surface, which shows which segment of the soil will be REMOVED (in the "mining" mode).
For the "Restore landscape" mode - the same circle appears, but its diameter CAN BE INCREASED or DECREASED (assign buttons).
    Then - when "shooting":
+ the pit is filled (even if it is very deep - a certain layer (thickness) of the soil is built up),
+ if the landscape has a DIFFERENT HEIGHT - then INSIDE the circle - the height of the landscape LEVELS up to the average value in order to smoothly dock with all height points along the contour of the circle (!),
+ texture = medium texture on the terrain surface around the edges of the circle (sand or green tint for grass ....)

Thus, you can always RESTORE the landscape to the MAXIMUM, even if you accidentally made a hole (!) (Smile))

    Thanks, we're waiting )))
