    i want shortcuts for the vehicle-panel, so i can turn on off stuff on my ride via shortcut, instead of opening panel and not be able to control my vehicle meanwhile.

    One thing I discovered about the drone; although you can't use it to access containers, if you can *shoot* the container, it'll drop the contents out into a box and the drone can pick that up. There's one alien container in the "Elders' Tomb" that I could never figure out how to get to, but decided to try this.

    11. PLANT GROWING CURRENT FACTS v1.2.1 3132

    A grow plot have to be placed as "floor" with sprout above, relative to core direction. Both can be rotated in any direction (after), but when a sprout is placed it will be in default orientation.
    A placed sprout will start a growing process to become a re-harvestable plant. How long it takes depends on the type, also how much yield.
    Plants die if temperature not within 0-50 C, or radiation above 3. Grow temperature 15-35 C.
    Grow light provide temperature protection if outdoor (not airtight), but not radiation.
    Grow light give 25 degrees C in all blocks around it, a 3x3x3 cube. So place it 2 blocks above a grow plot or a plot of up to 3x3.
    Grow light is not a solid block or airtight, can be placed in any orientation.
    Blocks and devices emitting heat and/or radiation should not be placed adjacent a plant.
    O2 have to be present for plants to grow, they do not consume it though, provided by ventilator with tanks or breathable outdoor.
    Indoor (airtight) protects from effects of weather and environment.
    All grow plot types are airtight and can be crafted. CV need the steel type. Base can have wood and concrete too. See current recipes.
    Multitool and Survival Tool in Salvage mode of grow plots give random materials depending on type (plant fibers, nutrient solution, cement, wood planks, steel plates and cobalt alloy) and random amount depending on tool type.
    Plant on a grow plot can be picked up as sprout with a Multitool on Retrieve and private/faction core., else Salvage effect.
    Sprouts can be crafted from picking plants, Food Processor and required, see recipes (normally nutrient solution and purified water.
    Some traders buy/sell sprouts, grow plots and lights. Depends on scenario and server setup if available. POIs can have it as loot in devices.
    Activating "creative" item menu have plants ready grown and harvestable. Not able to place plants as seen in the terrain without an editor.
    N-menu Debug can show airtight blocks and/or O2 areas.
    Power need, CPU and other functions of above items and devices can be found elsewhere.

    EDIT:
    Grow plots works in water too. Water seems to replace O2 as need of growth.
    Can use ventilator in water and fill an indoor area with O2, water will still be there.

    |Not tested other types of "fluids" that a planet/moon can have. |

    I have accidentally "salvaged" the grow plot instead of the plant. I wonder what would happen if I replaced the block with something else, and left the plant? Would it continue to give resources? Hmm...

    Most of the times the Plant dies off within Seconds or shortly after...sometimes it JUST enough time to pick it before it dies.
    Have similar issue with a certain POI (I get the Grow plot with the Multi Tool instead of the Plant:rolleyes:) with only one Plant that grows even under Water....o_O

    I rarely do water bases. Replacing grow plots with other blocks becomes pretty cheesy exploit if works, not tested and do not bother.
    If to multitool plants then check what it says the target is. Roughly the same as hitbox for picking.

    If this was a reply to my posting... I talk about the Satellite-Wreckage which very often happens to be found within Lakes and half submerged. It has Grow Plots and one Akua-Berry Plant which grows that way under Water.

    I have never seen my plants dying *o*!

    On a planet with breathable atmosphere and temperature within the good range, you don't need to enclose your plants inside the base, and you don't need either to provide them with a grow light, they just need direct access to the planet's atmosphere (nothing above them but the sky), and they will grow even during the night. If the temperature is too high, you can try to build higher to reach a height where the temperature is lower.
    And no, you can't reach a warm enough temperature by digging the ground when you are on a cold planet. The temperature stays low even if it is positive and then...The floor is lava.

    need to update cruise mode, it changed to Ctrl+W. like a normal cruise mode it locks current speed when you release W. when you press W without Ctrl it disables cruise mode.

    Shift now activates boost when it's available. boost recharges with time and increases top speed and acceleration with increased fuel consumption. boost is available when ship has a lot of engines (like maybe 4+ in each direction i'm not sure) and is not available for CV.

    so on planets i fly like this now, i hold Ctrl+W to get 100% thrust, head to the desired direction then press Alt to release view and hold O for a while to level. and here we are! the ship flies itself and holds the direction, i can look around and enjoy the views or even switch to map view or drink some wine and the ship will not stop flying forward. i still can press Up and Down to go higher or lower then O to level back again without disturbing cruise mode or selected direction. i can also press Shift when boost is charged to fly faster. it feels almost like leaving a command seat, at least you are not holding controls anymore and the ship flies itself just like it does in space with I (auto stop) disabled.

    Autoloot for most MOB loot drops = shift [action key]

    e.g. my action key is T so Shift T on an infected carcass automatically opens the carcass, loots to player inventory and closes the carcass interface.

    I found some useful keystrokes in the console: Arrow-UP / Arrow-DOWN will repeat the last commands.
    I haven't yet found a command that makes the sceen pause instead of scrolling (like after lschaps to get a list of missions, there are 100s of them, but the most important ones are on top and you won't see them if the scrolling doesn't stop.)

    CTRL-RMB
    The most useful keystroke while handling blocks for constructions is CTRL-RMB when a block is selected in the toolbar. What it does is copying the exact touching shape of a block in the preview so you can paste it elsewhere. Hover your mouse over a block you want to copy, click CTRL-RMB, and the game puts this shape in memory, if you insert a block elsewhere it will be of the exact same type.

    Your personal Escort vessels...
    The most interesting console command which is sort of a placeholder in the game is that you can spawn vessels that will escort you in orbit! With the help of the aimanager command. However my exact method is somewhat complex, so it's not going to be a popular feature... My description is published here:
