For more information see here Bug Report Template Build:1.14.1 4910 Game environment: pc Platform: Steam DLC Installed: official eu server's SEED-ID: official eu server's If applicable: SERVER NAME: official eu server If applicable:: Are you using any unofficial mods or custom maps ?: official eu server's Reproducibility: constant Severity: always Summary: map markers are deleted on "reset waypoints" instead of turning "waypoint" off on those Description: even though a map marker is not a waypoint unless "waypoint" is set on it during creation, or edition the "reset waypoints" button on the registry tab is deleting all map markers that are set to be waypoints instead of removing the "waypoint" attribute of it - contrary to the button on the registry tab that is called "waypoint" that works as intended turning on, and off the "waypoint" attribute of the selected map marker. i tried to set a map marker to be a "waypoint", and then back with the "waypoint" button on the registry tab, and then i pressed "reset waypoints" button beside it, and i found that the map marker i was testing this on did not get deleted after it had been converted back to an ordinary map marker not a "waypoint" using the "waypoint" button on the registry tab - so the type of the map marker does not seem to be changing, or the map marker, and the waypoint are of the same type with a boolean "is_waypoint" Steps to Reproduce: 1)start to create three map markers on the map (i tested it in a "sector" play field (opened map in orbit)) 2)make sure that the first of the map markers is set to be "waypoint", but the other two are not 3)other than the waypoint checkboxes of these map markers are optional for you (do not seem to matter, maybe it does, i am not sure) 4)open registry, locate, and select the map marker that you have set to be a "waypoint" 5)in the registry click "waypoint" with the selected map marker twice (toggle on, and then off) 6)now, in the registry locate, and select one of the two map markers you have created 7)in the registry click "waypoint" with the selected map marker twice (toggle on, and then off) 8)now, in the registry locate, and select the last of the map markers you have created 9)in the registry click "waypoint" with the selected map marker once (toggle on) 9.5) - at this point i expect you to still possess three map markers with one is not a "waypoint", but the other two are 10)now, in the registry select anything (even the map markers), and then click on "reset waypoints" button 10.5) - at this point i expect that the two map markers you have set to be a "waypoint" are deleted rather to be unset of being "waypoints" Suggestion: if you make sure that a waypoint is a different type, not also a map marker, then you will notice how much more easy to not delete the map markers by accident
This is intentional by design. If you wish to have it changed please write a suggestion in the suggestion forum or on our Discord This will be deleted in a few days Taelyn Community Manager
