    Another one.

When making very flat terrain with very shallow water, since the new "water effects" there are waves and moving puddles far outside the boundaries of the normal water basin :

    NewGame_21_2022-04-10_00-33-15.png
This varies from one game to another, with a fixed playfield (fixed/ same terrain each time), but in some instances puddles/ waves will form very far from the shore, in the middle of the desert (terrain is very flat)...

There is at least a 1 meter height difference between water line and surrounding ground.

One of the reasons my lad fails to interest me in a VR headset is because I already immerse myself so deeply in my flatscreen, I'm so animated in the game that I duck, lurch and jerk out of the way of so much of the onscreen action... I even try to peer round the corners when I'm sneaking.

You wrote what I have been thinking for a long time. Much has been promised, but not much delivered

Nothing has been 'promised'. It has been taken into consideration - put on a List - and discussed with 'Upper Echelon' in ELEON as THEY decide where the Developement of the Game should go. Not the Devs themselves on request/demand/threat of the Community.

I must admit I like very much the entire thread and there are a lot of things I'd like to talk about: just starting from something of admiral Kassonnade I guess we can quickly solve.

I have indeed some doubts about the statement above so I'm about to try to guess various hypotesis.

My point is: I don't remember a single incomplete Bethesda game, bugged yes of course a lot of those but incomplete for sure no. Instead I distinctly remember that Empyrion is indeed incomplete and I cannot forget the window which appears saying TO BE CONTINUED as soon as you'll reach that point of the plot.

Just to be clear : a thing like that to me never happened with Bethesda games which was tagged for releasing incomplete games. On the other hand I completeley agree with the bugs topic, nothing to add on that. So I guess your incomplete cannot be referenced as something plot related.

Another hypotesis is that with incomplete you're not intending finished game but a game release without major bugs. If the point is that I can assure you I have finished almost every major Bethesda games months before the unofficial patches: it was never a matter of incomplete game release but a matter of bugged - for sure - game in where the bugs didn't prevent you from reaching the end of the game. So maybe your incomplete points to a product release with many bugs but nonetheless the end can be reached: could we then define those as incomplete?

If your point was instead about the release and subsequent maintenance policy for which we should be extremely grateful to Eleon and don't like EA and Bethesda and the likes because they leave their games after the release, I'd like to report the following difference which arguably is a fact:

    - Empyrion has been released as an incomplete game so the minimum requirement is at least complete it. Those > v1.0 patches are not optional maintenance but steps towards reaching the game status expected by the company to say -> that is what we had in mind.

    - Bethesda and EA games are released as complete games so the subsequent activities are indeed an extra and definitely maintenance but you may for sure reach the end of the game even with the original release.

So may I kindly ask you which was your point? :)

    Thank you in advance.

I'd like to point out that many players feel cheated by the 'removed' content from some Bethesda games, most likely removed because of time constraints or development costs, much of which is put back in and finished by modders the The 'compulsory' Unofficial Oblivion/Skyrim patchs spring to mind... and as such missing means incomplete no matter how you gloss it over, and speaking of Sutch, the whole town was dug up and removed completely as far as I remember,
Arenas... was there not meant to be one in each City? I know one can be unearthed at Kvatch but the others?... yeah, Incomplete, similar story in Skyrim.

Ok thank you Peter: I didn't see the 'complete' logic in that way I admit :) for sure because I think in any project even in Leonardo Da Vinci's ones some ideas where removed before the publication but no one has ever called those incomplete... but so far so good fine :)

I guess it's really what a person feels: from my point of view having a complete game but some planned and removed features, well it's greatly better than having a game which is not even finishable. Others do as you kindly explained and I respect that.

My question is here because I like EGS but liking it doesn't imply to apply bad labels to other games especially if the latter were never managed like EGS: I'll not use the term complete ok but I can say that even the first bad bad bad version of NMS was released as finishable.

In 20 years from now when I'll recall my experience in Morrowind (which I'm pretty sure didn't include something that were promised) I'll ever have a smile on my face. When I'll recall my experience in Horizon I'll be enthusiast (event though Forbidden West was so broken that needed 17 patches... so I guess someone may dare to define it not complete... as EGS... omg ;) ).

When in 20 years I'll look back (hoping 'back' who knows ;) joking joking) to my experience with EGS I'll think about something good and to all the rage quit it has generated. For example in the v1.8.7 I've just discovered that in Masperon the main quest is not triggerable at the terminal: I've already posted a message on that... and my try at v1.8.7 already rage quitted.

So thank you: I guess both our points are clear :)

Seriously spacegal, when a company/studio is continuing work and development on a game we can't in all reality call it complete or incomplete... it's still in development.
However when a company boxes up their product and fires it out to the masses with content cut from it to meet 'constraints' then some may consider it incomplete.
As far as I see it Da Vinci's 'masterpieces' and other works of 'art' are no more than money laundering schemes for the ultra motivated/entitled

Lucky for me I wrote my point was clear... well mr I never doubted that: indeed EGS complete or not was never my point... even because Eleon never declared it complete :)

My point was completely different: if we love EGS and we know that it has some flaws we can flawlessly avoid to associate the same flaws at past masterpieces. We may like it or not but Fallout and Elder Scrolls are definitely masterpieces and for sure they never were incomplete product... uh sorry blame me, unfinishable.

The point about EGS complete or not and money spent and what people deserve and so on and so on it's in another discussion on this forum but here I'm talking about something else.

Well as I said I like this thread :) and this is the next topic I'd like to kindly propose to elaborate on.

Now since the first playthrough there is a thing that seemed to me some sort of strange or well not exactly fitted into the narration and of course I may be wrong: here to kindly ask.

Please note that the following statements are my elaborations (so they may be completely wrong) hence they may or may not include spoiler: I cannot be sure of that but just in case sorry, spoilering not intended.

    - POSSIBLE SPOILERS STARTING -

So in EGS we're humans looking for the Empyrion as explained in the homepage and that's fine: saying that imply presumably we (we=humans) haven't found it yet. So we embark in an expedition which is redirected by that man in black guy (of whom later we'll meet the son) and we end up in Andromeda.

Now: by advancing into the main questline I had the impression that the NPC dialogues tried to imply that the first time they (they=aliens) have seen guys like humans was a year ago (that's fine for the time misplacement during the travel) but as soon as you'll visit Polaris POIs you may see humans... everywhere even in dedicated rooms.

My doubt at this point is like that: do humans already have explored Andromeda galaxy (400 billions stars says the Internet) and should we think that an Empyrion world in the whole Andromeda has not been found? Of course if we have not, why then risk an exploration travel in another galaxy (which by the way that man in black sabotaged) and instead not continuing the Andromeda exploration?
By judging from how well were accepted the humans in the community we must conclude that humans were there way long before the year of the travel and if that's so how come that some NPCs in some way imply that the first human saw was dated to an year ago (I remember someone in the disco pub for example)?

    Thank you.

They're not humans, they just look like, due to convergent evolution

    Hypothetically difficult but not impossible

Empyrion has many missions that if they are not in Spanish, are not worth playing, in any case I prefer Starship Evo that has many more mechanics and flexibility of blocks, which is superior to build, although it is not in Spanish, it does not have missions as empiryon and is more intuitive.-

Wow I didn't know about that: if the devs are considering even this thing I guess we may definitely expect further interesting ramifications in the storyline.

    Hope they'll come soon :)

That's what Hummel told me when I posed the exact same question

The way the NPCs in the game talk about it, they're humans, they just aren't Terrans.

So now that we've confirmed that the storyline will be even more interesting than expected, look what your arch friend spacegal has found for ya ;)

Well some months ago I bought a game the name is Nibiru Uncharted Planet: among the reasons for which I bought there is that it seemed interesting and because the devs declared on the game Internet site (Nibiru: Uncharted Planet – Indie Cup) that they were insipred by EGS.

So I played it for sometime and look what I've found: it seemed to me a well known creature some sort of deja vù I do not know if you agree with me.

How this message can be in topic and not OT: because I'd like to propose to EGS devs to not use Unity standard creatures in their games please :) and to fix that in the coming months... or at least I hope it's like that because otherwise it would mean that someone... ehm... borrowed (???) an EGS creature ;)

    What do you think?

It might be best for all if you were to calm yourself a little before attempting a serious rant...... Nursie, Tramadol!
This effort really was too hard to read with all the insults, shouting and misspelling.

There is a survey every year. You can vote and if enough people share your concerns, they may be addressed. If not, well, lot's of people like different things and it is hard to keep everyone happy.

I didn't quite understand everything that you wrote but rather than have your first post be an unintelligible nerd rage rant, maybe settle down, collect your thoughts and post something constructive on the suggestions page.
