For more information see here Bug Report Template Build:v1.9.3 4018 Mode:Any (Vanilla) Mode: SERVER NAME: N/A SEED-ID:N/A If applicable: MODIFIED PLAYFIELDS: Reproducibility:Always Severity:Minor/Frustrating Type: Functionality. Summary: Motion Sensors will stop working if a vehicle is clipping into a wall they cover. (This may only happen with partial blocks, I did not test with full block walls) Description: Steps to Reproduce: 1) Build a bay with a motion sensor and a light. Connect motion sensor to the light, and set the motion sensor to cover the entire bay. (Please note this may require using half/quarter blocks for the walls) 2) Park a SV in the bay as far over to one wall or the other. 3) Leave the bay. Light should go out. 4) Exit to the menu and reload the game. The light will be on although it should be off. The sensor will not trigger anything until the vehicle is removed from the bay and the game saved and reloaded. I found this because I'm trying to cram a HV and SV into a CV bay that was only built for one vehicle. They fit, but it's like trying to park three cars in a two car garage - it can be done but no one's happy about it. It required one of the SVs wings to clip into the wall. When it was done everything worked. Then I saved and started the next day and the motion sensor wouldn't work any longer. Pulling everything out of the bay, save/reload and the sensor is back working. Restuff everything in the bay and sensor stops working. Park one, everything works. Park one as close as possible, sensors stop working. Move the one vehicle one "tap" away from the walls, sensors start working. Park two as long as nothing is clipping through the walls then the sensors work. "Frustratin' ain't it?" So one of two things need to be fixed. Either don't allow blocks to clip into each other or make the motion sensors not "freak out" as described above. The work around for now is to park VERY CAREFULLY... (and I realize the first option(block clipping) is almost impossible to do at this point) Screenshots, Crash Logs, any other Relevant Information or Download links:
Since this was posted with version 1.9.3, I can confirm that this is still happening in 1.9.13. If you dock a SV too close to walls(wing tips clipping into the blocks) then the motion sensors will trigger to an on state and stay there.
