@Pach, I feel the same way, I could go either way with the glass, but I think it's just like a thick extruded transparent pane of ballistic material. @Hummel-o-War, there seems to be ambiguity as to what we're actually seeing with the new HWs! Is it just a thick pane of glass, or is it 2 panes of glass? Or is it as I suspect, potentially both depending on the block, e.g., there are HW blocks that have the indication of small spacers in the middle of the outer and inner edges, which would indicate 2 panes, and others, don't have that...I'll model one of those blocks tomorrow, cause I think they connect to a "missing" block... I'm thinking it looks like this, given I've been trying to duplicate the models from the game: Either way, this is fun for me.
You nailed it! Fantastic - this is exactly what we are all missing. Can't wait to see these blocks and the single border framed versions. Great work again. Hopefully these will make it in the A10 release.
I think that one thick pane of glass looks much better than two thin panes and would be more in line with the idea of it being a "Heavy" window. Next stop would be "Aquarium" glass that can be used to hold or keep water out for underwater bases ha ha.
Eleon, Can we get base doors that do this????!!!! Puhlease! @Jeffglobal Damn that looks good, I want a spinning door for my base now.
Taelyn said they are working on "rotors" which in context he meant things that can when activated move other blocks...so you never know...!
I forgot to put this HW block here...there's some overlap in the threads...and I fixed it from yesterday... Gonna do some doors in the style of the game, cause there's star wars, star trek, various secondary scifi films with circular ones, and one more thing I forgot... Still working on my block shape study. If anyone wants to contribute to the build, I'm trying to make block shape collections, i.e., various blocks that work in groups next, when I figure out how to suspend the blocks in space, so you can fly around the shapes to get ideas. Any ideas welcome that adds to the knowledge!
This looks good Jeff it's one of the ones I was talking about also the same with no edges and the square or 90 degree one as well
I got it in the queue. I just discovered "volume" modeling, and redressing my lack of edge flow control, to make my mock ups even better...watch for Labeouf motivate Spanj's 3D icon to roll over my Empy toon in game, cause I think I forgot how to comp a green screen into a pic or clip...have to see what I forgot...I have three ways to key the green screen, and I think I may have forgotten all 3!
Are angle shapes in-bound? Better question: Is there anyway to streamline the process and give us near-to-the-same blocks as a regular construction block?
Long slopes anyone? Like stretching 'Corner G' into the length of 2 blocks with that 22.5° angled slope.
Given the regular windows, shutter doors, etc., have choices of sizes, I think it would be a natural step forward, but @hummel hasn't given feedback on any of the blocks that I've seen recently So I'm uncertain what's up, but I think I suggested something like that...I have to find a pic...I think I found something similar: You mean something like that but with Corner G? I can't find the block in game...it's hiding from meh...! I could find corner A, B and C only...
I have a ship that could use these. Did not think enough of the population would want them so I stayed quiet due to them being double sized blocks. Would love to see them added though.
Arent we talking about the heavy windows? The regular 45° angled window is called "Window Type G". That as a '2-block' angle of 22.5°. It would need 2 'outter' (the actual angle ; unless - for QoL it would be a single -) blocks, and 1 or 2 (not sure if the same/or existing 'closer block' could be used/twice) to close the inner 'gaps'. Additional Suggestion/wish:* "Obviously" () with 'empty clean glasses" like "Window Q" in a 45° * and when hopefully the regular 22.5 angles window exist, the according "empty clean glasses" 2x 22.5° angles (upper and lower) --> so we could do slick & stable Cockpit fronts with a clear sight Thank you!
