SV Tool Summary: (Copying my post from the Steam Forums) SV Laser Drill is disintegrating admin-protected blocks Description: So this is the first time I have used the SV laser miners in my time playing the game. They work great, but then I noticed they seem to lag a bit when they reach that small layer of remaining mine voxels (only happens with voxel deposits). It will dig at the small layer for about 3 times the length of time it takes when you hit the initial voxels, then it breaks through and destroys any building materials behind it. Even if they are indestructible core assets, like alien POI's or asteroid bases. There is a picture on my profile of the sheer destruction I committed against the "Hidden" pirate station in testing this. This occurred in a Project Eden scenario. I then went to a Vanilla free playthrough and tested it on Topper's Distillery and reproduced it. 90% of the time the drill works as intended, breaks the stone, and does no damage to the NPC hull (even get the proper message). 10% of the time you hit that last layer of voxels, it is almost as if it "snags" the laser, then when the voxel finally gives anything behind it is disintegrated. Below is a before and after picture of the Distillery, as well as the Pirate base I tore up. I tired a hundred different ways to get the core with this but that was the only thing that did not give. Steps to Reproduce: 1) Go to an asteroid base... Top's Distillery or the Pirate Station will work. 2) Use the mining lasers to dig towards the hull of the base. If it breaks straight through, keep trying until you hit a voxel layer that "snags." Snag is the best descriptor I have because instead of the one second it takes to kill stone with a mining laser, this layer for some reason takes 5-10 seconds. The layer is ALWAYS against a hull when this happens. 3) Profit?
