Hmm, I like the blue knot. How about running a stripe on the outside of the circle with a highlight to indicate rank? The standard rank could be a blue interior circle, with a grey exterior stripe. Officer ranks could be indicated by running a stripe on the outside of the 3 knot loops. Note that the clan flag would not have any stripes on it, as it would represent everyone. More on that later. I'm a bit torn on the lettering. We could do a DSC over the planet, or the full name in a banner under it. What do you think? Also, a version that is on a background in the shape of a shield would be good for skinning on a patch for uniforms. I'm also thinking that the blueknot version would still need the grey contrasting color, but on the planet instead.
It seems that everything is in order, but I have not decided exactly on a ranking structure yet, but turning out a few prototypes for rank variation couldn't hurt.
True, but remember, for regulars it will be the circle with a band, for officers, it will be the circle and the knot loops. So there would be two versions of the silver band patch, one for each.
Loving watching this pan out, Really good work..... I spent a while a couple of weeks ago designing a logo for AMS.... Celtic background theme, involving a dragon, Sword, Bow and Arrow and Celtic Rop band, I used up a lot of paper, then threw it all away.... I could not decide what to do, when to stop LOL....
