I just looked at all the blueprints in creative and they looked fine. Hopefully the signals aren't getting messed up in survival.
Those Silicon "Deposits" are rather random but mostly within the Craters where the ground floor is not the rock bed. I found several locations now. And all are on the Starter-Planet.
Oh thanks for catching that! Those crater biomes had silicon listed as an underground layer when they shouldn't have. Oops! Well, enjoy your free silicon I guess.
Does the Pol Minefield and the surrounding Type and number of Wrecks spawn at Random? Or do have "Creators" their Hand in it?
Those are default POIs that will spawn in the default starter orbit. The only custom starter orbit I've made yet is for the snow dwarf. And yes the wrecks are randomized somewhat.
"somewhat" says it all...why I can't built a CV that is able to leave my silent starter Planet...seems I have to enlarge the C-M-T and make shuttle Trips to the nearby Arid Planet...took me 4 days - RL - to reach level 10.
I found out you get xp for cutting down trees with a HV with a harvester, which should help with the xp grind on that planet. Wish I had a way to start players at a higher level though.
Well, there is a way to gain XP easier even on the dead start planet. Find a random POI with many blocks, put a core to it, set the core to PUBLIC and it will give you +50XP after every salvaged block/item.
Haven't played for a while, so I don't know this start yet. A workaround would be creating an invisible BA (like, just an invisible player spawn pad), and set the HUD distance to 2m. That is below the minimum distance the HUD marker will be shown, but it still triggers as discovered POI. Then let it spawn in masses around the player start POI or touchdown site. Since you discover them all at an instant, and during startup, you only get the congratulatory message of levelling up. (The BAs will be still visible on the map, but if you cluster them tight, it will be only one marker.) Did this with a space start. 10 floating junk items will get you at least to level 3...
Thanks. I discovered that myself some hours ago. By dismantling a Bunker. @Needleship The Dead Planet has no factions. PDA Missions not working/disabled. No plants, no lifeform, not starter area...
I can add a PDA to it. Maybe even make a mission where you have to find some type of survival bunker or whatever. But PDA work will have to wait till later.
Your suggestions lead me to a certain question: Wasn't it habit to EGS that when I remove all Blocks of a POI the Marker vanishes from the map after a while or after a restart at latest?
The way the map works seems to have changed so much lately I don't even know anymore. By the way just saw some news posted in the official discord about a tentative time frame for alpha 10.5: So if all goes well, I should release an update to the scenario when Alpha 10.5 goes live on September 3.

Yeah. It's cool, but I wish the game would show the moons their actual size relative to the planet they orbit. Still cool though.
