Furian, you now have permission to use the solar system map in twitches, other livestreams, and youtube videos. Edit: Honestly, If I had to pick a leader for Grey, it would be Warmachine. He's on regularly, is dependable, and having our fights organized by a guy named "Warmachine" is a just a huge Aesthetic Bonus.

*ANNOUNCEMENT* Bad News: The Alpha release is delayed. Good News: The new Red VS Blue server is not. Feel free to log in and check out the new solar system. Mind you we will have another wipe when alpha comes next week, but at least everything is not running behind.
Regarding this: the original post in the thread has been updated with an announcement regarding the new map, as well as a delightful chart made by Shakles! Also: I'm happy to re-arrange the Roster as needed, just let me know for sure of any changes being made
I wouldn't mind joining in on some of these epic battles just let me know where I'm needed I want to be on blue team but it kinda looks like they have a lot of people. So if red team needs another guy just let me know! If I need to be on the grey team I'm cool with that as well.
We really need a community population of about 250 people. My rule of thumb for active server users to community pop is 10 to 1. If we could get to this point, we could have pvp whenever, and would not be dependent on events (although having them would still be a nice bonus).
Sounds good. Next chance I get maybe i'll take a look see at the GMT Home World & test out the new GMT Start Option to make sure it works. If I took a look see around the Planet & made note of nearby Resources, would this be considered unfair? Also might be a good idea for me to try to start my work on learning Red vs Blue MP Etiquette & Rules. Currently lookin like soonest chance i'll get at this is Monday, barring the unforeseen.
People, once alpha hits next Friday, I want to do a drive to expand the community a bit and get a regular ongoing server population at a critical mass. I'm thinking that we will do a lot of building and brainstorming first, and then take our creations and smash them with each others weapons, as that worked well before.
Cool, that'll give me time to play with the new stuff & work on figuring out how I wanna make my Merc Vehicles, especially SV. Oh, meant to ask this before... safe bet the Home World of each Faction is gonna be set PvE?

Also, for clarity, if Slam & Broken feel someone else would be better then me at Leading GMT & those peeps wanna give it a shot, i'm all for it... if not i'll try not to suck at Leadership too much. (Also if ya do become Leader & try to tell me I can't use my own Vehicle Creations & try to 'Uniform' me in 'standard issue' GMT Vehicles, ya may end up turning me into a Starscream... FYI. I HAVE to make & use my own stuff thanks to my RL Head Problems making me kinda incompatible with "Neurotypical Strategies".) Edit: Rule Check: If I keep spare stuff in a Box on my Creations, like spare Weapons, then my Weapons all get blown off & make me retreat out of the fight, would my grabbing spare weapons outta my spare stuff box, reinstalling them on the Ship, then returning to the fight be considered unfair play? (Barring of course if my spare stuff box gets blowed up.)

(so just had to edit it a little) really hoping to get a good highres screenshot of a sv/cv close combat dogfight from the RvsB server. would make the perfect background and now to the rule: In war the gloves are off, and every trick up your sleeve counts (in my book)
Hmmm atm my war specialties is infantry tactics, infiltration, and base raiding. I'm not a horrible sv dogfighter ,but, I'm no ace yet and I've only actually battled with cv's twice. So when this starts up i'll probably be in grey team. So let me know which of my talents I will be able to use and if there are any conditions, like the base raiding seems to be a current issue. So if there is a way you would like some things done, just let me know and i'll avoid those talents for the time being, until there is a proper setting for it. My civy specialties is i'll mine for dayz (really I like to hoard one way or another ), I also like to organize all the various items and make spots for stuff. I even setup specialty rooms to streamline certain things with advanced constructors for various purposes, bays for cv's with ammo depots nearby same for sv's. I don't use hv's much yet ,but I even make a spot for those. I also like to make hidden rooms if the terrain and features around the base permit. I'll keep up veggie or meat cans, but the food and medical side of things I usually don't mess with much but I will gather some of the materials when I'm on foot so I may have some of those for trade.
Cool! Fellow Mining Buddy! I too have work to do at improving my Piloting Skills on SVs too. I also welcome your Insight into Base Building as I have yet to ever really PvP Base Build in Empyrion.
Awesome I havn't built a pvp base yet. I usually work out of a mobile cv and usually a small base on the starter planet or if it becomes unstable I make a moonbase. I have attacked enough of them for enough time to know weakness's and potential ways to counter said weaknesses. It really depends on what kind of people you are fighting though. If its hexeditors, trainers, or exploiters/glitchers theres different defense styles that aren't really needed when in normal battle scenarios . I am being tasked on Liberland with making a pirate base. You saw my pictures for that raid in the alpha discussion. I had no idea the consequences of raiding that base was I would be the new Pirate King. Also we learned various facts about how the turrets work which saddened Binkley as he wanted it as legit as possible. They shot me down at bedrock level through the terrain above lol. That was actually extremely exciting I exit this corridor theres a cavelike ceiling and then plasma and cannon fire all over the place AIYEEEE. So to lose my Pirate King status I have to make a pirate base and someone must take it whether I'm there or not. I will be applying various techniques in that base to try and see if I can keep turrets from being used against one another. It might reduce there firing arcs a little bit but I think it will be worth it. Edited: Also a few different countermeasure for different scenarios. I'm trying to make it an attrition battle for whoever tries. But I wouldn't be surprised if someone took one the strategies I've wanted to use on a base and do it. "They have stacks of 100k ammo right? Drop a dreadnaught on it and lets get in there".
