Yes, I will start the faction and set up a GMT embassy on the starter planet with recovery mats. I'll leave a couple corporate CV shuttles for those that just want to get to Danube before building their ships.
aren't we having a fresh start?? why there should be free material unless placed by GMT members through mining?
You will only be able to spawn on Danube Lesser, I think. I marked only Danube Lesser as a starting planet in Sectors.yaml. The idea is that faction leaders can try and recruit a player when they come into the server, rather than a player picking a faction almost arbitrarily and spawning on a random planet, or spawning on Danube (now titled Danube Greater) and automatically joining Grey Market. The trick for faction leaders is simple, just monitor for new players on the barren planet and convince them to join their faction.
I Am happy to mine and work from scratch. Part of the fun for me is the actual journey I go on to actually achieve warp flight.
Also Also agree with this. But can see how others would want to fast track back to the comfort of there epic cv and bases. They will be the people invading all the poi as fast as they can ofc.
Feel free to if you want, I'm trying to avoiding clogging up the starter planet and get as many people to our home world as possible. While I understand the need to play the survival aspect, I also have to understand those that busted their butt to make a CV just a few days before watching it get wiped. You always have the option of just being dropped off on our home planet, there will be a HQ with constructors, but no free supplies. You can then build a base without the fear of losing it to the starter planet wipe.
I have no problem with company carriers taking players to their respective homeworld...only with free stacks of items from the start...that is why I only quoted the free material part..not the CV shuttle part
After 4_5_6 or more times in SP. I now just shoot out there terets so they don't bug me when I'm moving around on the maps.
What I did last time was because the server crashed, not a planned restart. The base isn't going to be loaded (but will have some mats), It will have some constructors but those are for use always. Think of it more as a starter base for those that just want to hurry up and get off that planet without leaving a base behind. In fairness, this game is way too easy, I have started making epic CVs in less then an hour playtime in survival. One POI can usually give you enough mats to build what ever you want.
Sounds good. I'll re-try at building a new House & chances are i'll find a way to make new Derps to have to learn from for the House Build after that one. Also Isar Moon... I totally dig that name... it sounds rad. ^_^ I'd totally LIVE on the Moon with its epic lookin Bedrock for my Underground Base House too if only there was a way to move some Water to there for my In-Base H2/O2 Generator & Water Generator... perhaps later down the road in Game Development. (I prefer being able to be self sufficient whenever possible.) I totally like the sound of these ideas. Super Glue & Welding Torches have NOTHING on Duck Tape. 1: It's not a bad idea to keep the House set to Private. 2: We've had Hacker Attacks before & ya might be among the victims. Sweet. I'll wanna get Re-Admitted to the GMTs asap, then get to our Home World asap to help with building up our Faction again, & to eventually get started on my new Base House. Surely ya'll want your Heavy Duty Miners on duty sooner rather then later, right? Because we are already GMTs & we already have a Home World. Danube Lesser is for the Factionless most of all, especially Noobs that might be too barbarian-headed to do anything more then Mad Max around. Us GMTs already have our own Home. *Has a funny image in my head of a 3 way fight between Slam, Mech, & War in SVs, 'negotiating' a New Player Recruitment in Danube Lesser with their SV Weapons over the top of that New Player's Head while the New Player watches the battle & wonders to themself what the hell they've just gotten themself into...* I can get the weirdest & screwiest thoughts in my half asleep half awake head during my Morning Coffee Drinking... Not me, I just wanna get to GMT Land & get to work on the self & Clan Mining asap. It's among my major Work Hats for the Clan.
me too..and want to make a mob farm in GMT home world..last time it get destroyed at PvP planet (Ulm).... so request to GMT player..if you raid POI plz keep the spawners intact for at-least 1 POI
I can totally do that, seems how i'm a real slow dude so i'll never get myself ready to Assault any POI before they've all long since gotten totally overkilled. We don't all get to be speedsters... plus someone's gotta get the Mining done for the Clan, especially the Ore Veins to Summon the Meteors, which I can totally handle. Also my CV Build in Creative has gotten to the point where i'll never be able to run it alone so I think i'm ready to give up on it being a Personal CV & will BP it just in case then postpone on it as it'll have to be a Faction CV Build. I'm gonna have to start a new CV Build with a new CV Strategy for an actual Personal CV for hauling my stuff around, especially Iji, a War Tank, & a Hunter Miner. & i'm somehow gonna have to figure out how to think... well... more humble... Then after, I still need to decide how i'm gonna go about my new War Tank Strategy. Still plotting & scheming ideas on that one...
You weren't the only one man, why I kept me a cv set to private to store my things in. Wish I'd made a base. Flermpick had the same thing happen to him as well. It may be different perceptions in group tactics or maybe someone thought if it was in a GMT labeled base they could have what they wanted/needed. Overall unsure, but, go ahead and have at least one vessel/base set to private with the items/resources you need for your projects set aside. At least till they give us a way to set permissions etc. Remember this is a survival game every round (more or less the time you get before a wipe) is a learning experience, sometimes, when you think you have it all figured out someone finally throws you a curve ball.
I've had ideas of building a world ship lately. not entirely sure of the build limit size on CVs though.
