Mech I think this may help: Try creating a free box, or stuff that anyone can take. It may help prevent stealing from other things. If not someone may have to do a all nighters to catch the people who are taking without permission......
Modders could really come up with something really cool. Like who comes and goes from a GMT BASE. Record what they added or removed. All to a text file the admins could access. Use a keypad in one of those small Deco terminals. To gain entrance. This would start the recording in a text file. DEVS WHAT YOU THINK? CAN YOU DO THIS?

The servers were actually unaffected by the weather referenced in that post. I like to make sure everyone is aware of potential server crash when severe weather comes through. Backup power is expensive, but is on the wish list!

Last night I managed to sneak a little more done on my CV Build... she's now farther along the line of "Almost Done" with the Building Stage, then Arceus* help me when it comes time for the Painting & Texturing & Symboling Stage... (Especially particularly the Texturing... that's gonna be a LOT of Blocks, even with it just being the ones externally visible to natural pathing...) *Arceus is a Pokémon God, & I like Pokémon so when referencing a God, he's my fav God to do so with. Screw any RL God. Seriously, how cool is a God who is willing to fight for ya & take your Orders? Epic cool!
I hope you're not suggesting that us having our Server available for play is a BAD thing... Also, i'm hoping to regain ability to play on the Server again tomorrow sometime. Damn i've missed it.
I've finally gotten to resume play at last! Damn I had missed the Server. Was weird having the Server to myself in my late morning & noonish time... though eventually a "Ghost99" logged on & seemed like a possible new peep so I said 'hi' & never got a response then eventually the peep left still at L1 & with no kills. Dunno if the peep even did anything. I have finished off another Danube Greater Magnesium, Zascosium, & Erestrum Ore Vein & plan to hit more tonight when my stuff to do is done for the day.
Regarding website: Shakles has had a lot of IRL stuff to take care of, but last I heard the back-end of the site is done, all the needs to be done now is putting the forum itself in place. So, we're getting closer! I think he said it should be ready this week, but I can't say 100% that that will happen. Regarding myself at least: to be totally honest, I've been getting a little burnt out on the game as it stands. Being a veteran of many games with many hundreds of hours in them, I know that (for me at least) when a game starts to feel like a chore, it's best to let it rest a bit and explore the other games you have available, lest I burn out 100% on it. I haven't abandoned EGS, of course, but I am letting it sit a little bit. Unfortunately, as it stands, there isn't much to do. You can build your awesome ships, sure, but with the state of lag, rubber-banding, and (lack of) balance, it's almost pointless to try and PvP. So, basically, I'm waiting for the day they do a little optimization so that it is viable again. As I see it, the current end-game (especially for the likes of our server) is PvP. And, let's face it, PvP sucks right now. I imagine I'm not the only one in that boat.
I've been working some pretty brutal shifts at work.... the facility I work at is one of the most efficient facilities in the company I work for. There have been a long string of important executives, including the vice president and the CEO already and the district manager and board of directors tomorrow, visiting the facility. In the position I'm in, my services have been required very urgently and very frequently, I haven't had time for much beyond forum posts via my Android and logging into the server late at night to work on Blue warships.
To be honest, I would like to get Project Jericho off to the Dev's as the MP server and Game engine tester, look up the Venator Class Jedi Cruiser on the Steam Workshop. This build will probably have more blocks and weapons then that CV....... Pretty sure it will be good for that at least.......
