well, the least you could do for him is let him know how on the current relations are running between the 3 major factions. *Correct me if wrong* As far as I remember GMT and BNS still haven't sorted out there issues *Correct me if wrong* I know for sure that GMT and RGC are friendly in relations and GMT are allowed to mine at Pyrite *Correct me if wrong* or any planet owned by RGC *Correct me if wrong* but with a 10% tax on all mined resources. Also let them know about this forum, having more people aware that there is a dedicated forum for this group is good.
As I recall, that's the situation with GMT and RGC, at least. Though, unless I missed it, GMT hasn't really made any tax payments yet. We'll get something arranged in the near future. Maybe even make an event out of it! Also, when we get the website up and functioning, it'll be a great place for informing/attracting newer players and such But til then, yeah, direct em to this thread at least
Ahh, I have trouble remembering the Political Stuff of the Server cause I have problems with getting to participate in a fat lotta it & spend most of my time on the GMT Home World... though i'm hoping that can change once I get my CV done. Also wish I could participate in more of the Weekend Stuff, but doesn't seem anything I can do about that atm. I did point chad to this Thread & he said he already found it & last I heard he was partway through 'skimming through it'. Dunno if he'll eventually speak up here or not. I also managed to give him some overview of roughly how we kinda work on this Server including advising him to make sure opposing Forces or Bases he may encounter are defended by at least one Peep before attacking & he was in full agreement. He had a awfully rough go after landing including getting killed & losing his backpack of starter stuff before he Applied to us GMTs & I took him in then fetched him. I took him to HQ & helped him with getting started. Also had a Big Damn Heroes moment when I saved him from 2 chasing Otyughs. He seems cool to me & eventually I managed to explain to him our Custom Map & why we are doing what we're doing now compared to how our last strategy didn't work totally epicly. In my defense i've never yet seen or been to Pyrite. I just mine Meteors on the GMT Home World, & that's before i've yet gotten my next Hunter Miner up. I will be a tad disappointed though if Boss & Myself are the only GMTs that understand the concept of 'responsibility'... but what can we do? Us Traders can be a ragtag motley group. (Goodness knows i'm no 'normal person' myself, not that I mind. What 'normal person' coulda ever cooked up Iji? ) Oh, before I forget to mention, i've begun build on my next try at a War Tank... ETA on Completion unknown, in addition to whether or not it'll be any better then the last one, especially cause the Cockpit is not gonna be cheater buried. I like the First Person Driving & Flying too much to give it up dammit, I just can't help it. Plus blocking off the Cockpit View 110% & still 'seeing' exactly how to drive or fly around for no reason at all whatsoever feels a similar level of cheaty to me to full burying Thrusters. (Now, if a Star Trek-like 'View Screen' ever got Implemented or such, maybe that'd be another story.) I just can't help myself on this either. Also, who's stupid idea was it to have Cockpit 6 (aka the one I used on the first War Tank...) have the weakest HPs of all the Cockpits for no reason at all whatsoever? So... i'm daring to experiment on Cockpiting this War Tank with Cockpit 9! I wonder if the Devs will ever give the HVs more Manual Fire Weapons? Somehow I don't think I can just plow my War Tank into ya other peep's Tanks & Harvester Away at them & get away with that, & Gatling Guns just don't seem to do enough Vehicle Damage & seem to only be good for manual mowing down personnel & Monsters, & in the Monster's case, might as well Harvest them instead.
@Tyrax Lightning - Regarding buried cockpits: for me at least, I always make sure there is at leat 1 block of unobstructed (except for windows) view directly front and center of the cockpit. So if you hop in, you can still see out. Sure, the view is limited, but it works Also, it's miles better than inward-facing thrusters that would realistically do nothing but melt your ship... but, y'know, we all have our levels of "cheatyness"
BNS and GMT have "normalized" relations. BNS does trade with GMT - and even offers some of the coolest humanitarian aid this game will ever see - and GMT is willing to respect BNS territory as BNS is willing to recognize GMT's full sovereignty. A major part of the initial conflict was that GMT had no sovereignty and was untrustworthy, thus members of GMT were suspect after the unsolicited attacks on Jotunhiem as they were neutrals and not bound to any treaties or agreements - this being before the "neutral faction" emerged as a fully regulated faction under WarMachine's authority. Since then the two factions are more or less normal with each other, having established a basic understanding.
That & ya dudes might be rightfully fearful of Iji. Also, question: For those of us who built Bases with Hardened Steel Blocks that include some that can't be legitly accessed without dire consequences, or not at all period, will Game Master aid in Subbing those with the new Combat Steel be provided or will it be decided that we will just plain have to 'rough it'? (Shame on my recent CV too but that one just plain won't even be worth a try. I can only be thankful that she's Mainly a Transport, not a Combat Vessel... even if I did arm her so hard she could plausibly be called what I like calling a "Violent Support"... my fav kind. I love you Overwatch's Zenyatta! ) P.S. Fearful? Don't know how many times I had to explain this, but #1 - it was unable to neutralize or disable Barracuda, and #2 - Piranha was built some time after the encounter with Iji. Nevertheless, I can totally flaunt Piranha's assured superiority.
Hey, don't worry about the tax for right now. If I heard correctly, a currency system is in the works, which will vastly simplify the whole process. Besides, as it stands, the agreement is mostly just symbolic of where relations are currently between the two factions. It's not so much about the resources as it is about the disposition that the deal brings to mind.
That was no fault of Iji, it was me myself that screwed up. Iji > Barracuda. The problem was that Lag > my sorry excuse for skills. I also hope to someday Rematch the Goblin Cruiser. In other words i'm willing to be honest & honor the deal made so we're both cool? Then if ya play him that passively ya might as well be playing Mercy or Symmetra instead. (Though I admit I find it DAMN fun to play Mercy & Damage Boost Allied Turret Mode Bastions... I suck buggers at playing Symmetra though.) Dad showed up outta nowhere so I won't be able to MP tonight... then he'll be here again tomorrow night for the Weekend. :/ Edit: Oh, also, question: Between the HV Turrets of Plasma Turret & Artillery Turret... does anyone know which one's Projectile has the faster travel speed? Shame that's not among the Weapon's Info.

Quick RGC post here: In my boredom I created a new Transport/Cargo ship named: Raven, all you need to know is its about the nicest ship in being passive and style in the fleet TO TYRAX: keep lji away from it lol We are not just going to throw this thing around to test against other's..... I know it will lose every time lol
If it weren't for the lag, those fifteen missile launchers would have obliterated you much more quickly than they eventually did. If it weren't for the CV turret bugs, those turrets would have also torn your pretty little chunk of scrap apart. You and I both know this. Nevertheless, the Piranha will eat you alive anyway, or at the very least, chew you up and spit out your remains.

If Iji eats your Ravens, ya probably crossed my Clan somehow & must pay the price (aka Event PvP Battle), a Pirate stole your Raven & sicked her onto me & I will defend myself, i'm doing a Merc Job, or I accidentally hit ya with stry fire by mistake while fighting something else in your vicinity in which case why the buggers are ya screwing around on a Battlefield with Active Combat in it? Iji's a Warrior, not a Pirate, Thug, Bandit, or other such wuss. Though, since ya just had to be so rude to a Dragon, if Iji finds one of your Ravens, she might be tempted to bump it around some to bully it to punish your Cheek. Maybe someday Turrets will get taught how to actually do their job. With that said, it's Tough Talk time & that's how it works... screw sense or any concept of 'limits' to what one can do. Anyways, since im awake, might as well leave this as a statement Mech can ignore. I've placed most of the turrets on Jericho so I can mark those spots down. and holy cow, +150 Miniguns and 50+ Artillery turrets on one side of the beast, I still have to copy the turrets on the other side of her but yesh. fast edit: She will be going to be painted by Slam, and will be a few days before we start work on the interior for fuel, ammo, comfort, and a lot of other things.
Oh, and for the new forum that we are going to be going to, there may be a chance your Email appears in the spam folder......
