Is it possible to replace a blueprint with an updated version in an existing game? I am working on a modified version of Reforged Eden for a private server. I am having all players start on a ship (base), and from there they can take a teleporter to what ever starting planet they want. The idea is if someone wanted to try out different starts, they can do so with out me having to delete their character file and lose all progress. In a single player game I tried updating the blueprint in the original mod folder and then deleted the playfield in the save. The game ends up spawning 2 overlapping ships. One of the original, and one of the new. What am I missing/doing wrong?
Don't delete the playfield as that can cause corruption. Use the wipe commands to safely wipe the playfield. If the blueprint is a scenario specific one and using the same BP name/group name it will spawn the new copy then.
