Because (some) star trek fans are known for the almost religious zeal when discussion star trek related issues.
(Heck i have noticed that on myself...)

Also if you ask 5 Star Trek fans about anything Star Trek related you will get 14 answers for sure. ;):D

    Btw. who's "NANI" ?

BTW, there is no category for a 61 year old. There is one for up to 60 and one for more than 61...

I have been present on this planet for 38 orbits around the local star and my body is host to XY chromosomes. Whether I was manufactured on this planet is still unknown though...

Not true! There are those that recognise Kirk as the One True Captain...and then there are the ignorant masses that idolise that french-named english-accented Space-Chamberlain whose largest crisis was having hit a meteor shower after just finishing waxing the ship. That, or they prefer watching 'As the Spacestation Turns' =P

That said, they can almost all agree regarding 'Enterprise'

    'what' in Japanese

I'm afraid i cannot agree with you.

I love TNG, at least some episodes and i really enjoyed ENT (again some episodes where good, some real stinkers). And now that i'm a bit older, i have noticed some serious flaws DS9 had, that i deliberately ignored in my youth, because of all the shiny action pew pew that was more important to me back then. I wanted to enjoy VOY, but i could never find most of the characters likeable, except for the Doctor and Lt. Tuvok.

    EDIT:
What makes a Trek series good or bad (for me) are its characters. If they are unlikeable, the show doesn't work for me.

So there you have it, two Star trek fans with different opinions.
    :);)

    Ah that's interesting.
I'm pretty much uninformed about Japanese language or pop culture to be honest, especially pop culture (anime and other stuff) went straight pass me. But i find Japanese history really interesting.

Yeah, we still have a strong male dominance in the games. :(:(

Women probably know better than to come here and waste there time !

We males can be pretty stubborn, we like to waste time and we love our nothing box, something women just dont understand ! haha

Whats more interesting is the age groups, the younger generation are more attracted to faster paced action games, and us older folk tend to like to be more creative and relaxed in a game, really reflected in the stats with building games and fast paced action games, like GTA or the Battlefield range games like that of many genres.

The cream though is that games like this, building games, also attract alot of younger players, but in general they just dont hang around in the game as long, so building games like Empyrion have the advantage of attracting alot of sales from young players also, but most of them dont come to the forums either, which definitely scews the poll a little but all the same its interesting to see the basic average, well done OP cool topic.

Good to know I'm wasting my time.

Stubborn? HA! Pray you never meet me in RL. :p

Men have the worst habit of making simple things complicated and then get their feelings all hurt when a woman proves to them they are complicating things unnecessarily. So there. :p

Forum polls are really not an accurate reflection of players. As you said many players never post on the forums. Many never become part of the forum community. Frankly, forum polls don't have any value but they're great for starting flame wars. o_O

Yes! When we are older, we need quieter games so we do not force our arthritis! :p:p:p

Most of them never come to the forum ....

Agreed. I would have used "most" but people seem to be overly sensitive to that word for some strange reason so I tend to avoid it and use "many" instead. ;)
