    Summary: Shield drops extremely quickly in co-op compared to singleplayer

    Description:
    When playing in single-player, it is possible to withstand the fire from two ion cannons without losing the shields (it won't drop below 80% before regenerating back to 100%). In co-op, however, the shield will quickly be lost from one or two hits resulting in the hull taking damage.

    Steps to Reproduce:
    1. Download save game linked below, put into Saves folder, and change name of folder and .ply file in Players directory for this save to your own Steam ID.
    2. Load save game in singleplayer mode.
    3. Enter god mode if you are outside HV (white cube) and enter cockpit. Go to third person mode to allow you to see where you are moving and enable shield (sufficient pentaxid and fuel has been provided).
    4. Go forward towards nearby Zirax base until in range of its fire. Wait long enough to observe that your shield is in no danger of being lost, even though you are taking constant fire. Retreat back to start area until you no longer take fire from the base.
    5. Exit the game and load the save in co-op mode (no other players are necessary to reproduce this).
    6. Repeat steps 4 and 5, where necessary. Observe that your shield is lost extremely quickly, and the HV begins to take damage.

    Does this only happen for you when taking fire from Ion cannons ?

    I just tested it, and it seems so. Fire from laser turrets and troops seems to affect the shield in the same way as multiplayer.

    There's a related part to this: when the shield drops, the UI shows that it's still at 100% for a few seconds, when you can see that you're actually taking damage. This doesn't happen with sources of damage other than ion cannons, either, so it's probably the same bug.
