GOOD NEWS! I had forgotten when i cheated the CV thrusters for apperance i still had the near finished copy in CV format. So i finished it up and MADE SURE it wouldnt take off when i dropped the core and here it is. A tribute to the Challenger Shuttle.
Inspired by a famous LiftPizzas' "The Dart v.4" from page 20. This's the 3rd prototype of the "Gespenst" superiority fighter. Despite it's heavy weight of 6 tonns, still very able to perform combat maneuvering. Can be refilled and reloaded on flight (from the wings). Obviously, lack armor. Prototype is still not armed, but you can place any weapons you like under the wings and precision ones under the cockpit. Here are some views of Prototype-2 flight tests.
I was thinking of designing a CV that looked like the rockets used to liftoff so this could dock with it and appear correctly just havent had time to get around to it yet.
Type 28C. wife calls it the ladybug, which bothers me less than you might think. cheap, light, nimble and small. i have standardized my landing bays to a 3x3 entry, and the type 28 project was designed with that in mind. edit- forgot to include actual bp zip.
Im thinking construction bee for a shipyard / dock, we have seen them in every trek that showed station docks or shipyards. The little bees buzzing around. lol
I love this ship! I am going to be using it for a while, I did repaint her though. What do you think?
Got distracted while building the Whitestar, drew a fighter in my notebook with cool spikes and blood veins. I built it in the game, and....my brother comes along and says it looks like a bug. Not what I was going for, but it still works. So I present the Midnight Scarab.
SV: Blackfly This is my workhorse SV that has been fine tuned and tweaked from over 300 hours of evolution. Used extensivly in both Single and Multiplayer games. The Blackfly is very reliable and efficient for daily survivial: (Rearview):
The Ball of Death A 5 day build with my goal being a UFO but instead it turned into this. Its nice and roomy on the inside and can carry passengers. The best thing about it is the protection it offers in a small vessel. Unless you fly to the top the best way to enter the cockpit is from the inside so you will always be safe when you exit. Also it was planned well so you can repair all of your thrusters from inside the craft where its safer. Dual plasma cannons and dual laser cannons compliment this. Armour covers the core and many of the key areas. Window grates protect the thrusters. Easy to spot from far away. back side of interior rear of vessel
So i went through all 23 pages here and i didn't find this design so yea me Anyway this is my first SV which turned out in a nice sleek looking Explorer ship. Since i build this in survival mode it only uses the basic materials found on Akua. But when i made some minor changes it in creative mode i changed the original gatling guns with pulse lasers, so i will upload both BP's. The positioning of the 3 guns above the cockpit dont block your view but have a good centralized focus-point. It is pretty lightweight even-though the top and sides are covered with armor plating. The 2 forward thrusting engines provide enough trust on planets going from 0 to 40m/s in bout 5 seconds and having 2 RCS makes it pretty maneuverable . There is room for more thrusters if you want a better acceleration. Mind you it's not slowing down quick because it has only 1 directional thruster in the front. The backside of the interior leaves room for extra storage and/or 3 open passenger seats. (you will have to remove the armor-plating though. *edit, i just came to the conclusion that you might want to change the front directional thruster with a normal thruster because it slows down really hard Inside you have all the goodies for an exploration flight. * 2 power units (1 does suffice, 2nd is backup) * 2 Oxygen tanks + Oxygen station * 2 Fuel storage's (with full thrust forward it can run for over 2 hours on Large fuelpacks) * 1 of each, storage, ammo, fridge, constructor.
Daelaam Phoenix I made a small vessel based off of the Protoss air fighter the "Phoenix" from Starcraft 2. It is fairly large for a small vessel coming in at 35x36x10 blocks, but it still handles quite nicely. All important components are either embedded in the ship or accessible from a double automatic door on the bottom side of the ship. This way you can still easily refuel this ship, but aren't leaving vulnerable fuel tanks out in the open. The ship was mainly designed in Creative, but now exists in Survival. The hanger it docks in has an elevated platform and elevator beneath to allow easy access to the refuelling doors. Currently it is equipped with gatling guns, but these will be replaced in Survival once I get the resources needed to make plasma weapons.
Wow what a surprise Kazushi - this ship looks awesome! Well designed with the Protoss theme - bro you hit this one on the nail! I'm going to give this a whirl and see how it handles but I have no doubt this thing is going to rock! Thanks a lot for sharing your hard work!
After failing at making a functioning HV, I turned it into a SV. I mainly built it to have fun flying around as a dragon around the planets.
