Hey guy, you should actually use a design before you QQ. They clip through the angled blocks without any issues. There is no damage to the craft whatsoever from using the rockets. You see, the devs coded the rocket launchers to use the center point of the firing face as the origin of the projectiles. Meaning you can cover the entire face of the rocket launcher except for that tiny point and they will always work fine with zero damage to any blocks. People who don't know much about the game always make me Double Faceplam.
Can I double double facepalm? Is that a thing? It should be... Maybe it reverses the palm face..? Hmm...dyslexia...holy crap im confused
Facepalm is an anti social and retrograde thing, only makes people angry. Buttpalm! that is the way to go!
Hi everyone! I present you my two new SV. 3AV-01 The first is the "advanced alien attack vessel 01" or shortly 3AV-01 for "Alien Overlords". So for people who like to play as "Aliens" Bird-of-Prey-V2 The second is a simple revision of my Bird of Prey. Oh he's soooo cute! Oh look how he kills some innocent people with his little disruptors! Hurray! \o/
This is kind of apt following on from a post with a Bird-of-Prey... The G.E.N.E Emissary-class Shuttle, inspired by Star Trek Runabouts: Seats six plus one pilot, almost everything is accessible in the interior (fuel tanks, generators, and four of the RCS are built into the nacelles) and it works happily in both space and atmosphere. Since it's a civilian craft I added aircraft navigation lights, as close to current aircraft navigation lights as I can make in the game. Steam Workshop link: Click Here!
It would be hilarious to have a Runabout kicking a Romulan Bird of Prey's ass in 1 on 1 Combat. XD (Something not feasible in the actual Star Trek Shows.)
... Sorry. Notsorry. The G.E.N.E Defiant-Class Fighter: It looks nothing like a Defiant from Star Trek I know (more like a Y-Wing... sacrilege!) but it got its name for being a "tough little ship" This one actually came together out of nothing, I was just fiddling around with nacelle designs and suddenly... this. Steam Workshop link: Click Here!
Neat ship design. Maybe its the way that specific texture doesnt line up, but I'm so not a fan of that exterior surface texture. This should could be more 'cleaner' if maybe tried a different metallic texture on the exterior? (same goes for the shuttle above... which REALLY suffers from this texture's bad grove lines).
Stuck between a rock and a hard place here... The texture used doesn't match up in some cases. The more recent one with lines is even worse. The normal texture of hardened steel is nice but I have serious colour-matching issues with it (colours for components like thrusters that also match this texture are extremely limited) so I tend to use it completely or sparingly on stuff that is going to be a different colour anyway. The plain texture looks too flat. The other steel texture makes it look more like concrete slabs to me. Here's hoping some technological genius comes up with a way to make the texture grooves match regardless of what piece is used someday!
Yup! I run into that problem too. I get frustrated quick with some of the meager color choices and texture behaviors with those colors. Sure hope we get a 'custom pallete' tool, or something here Us super-anal-design-creators really gotta have it!
hi! my new ship the Shiru-G633 Discoverer now on steam: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=708729234
This kinda stuff is why my fav Texture for my Creations now is the Concrete Texture. It's literally the only one i've ever found that seamlessly perfectly looks good on everything, even stuff like little corner & wedge pieces. It can be especially frustrating seeing most Textures applied to corner sides & such like that & just look cut off, literally, & it just looks unacceptable to me. *Sigh* Another fail Rocket Launcher Placement... Move your Ship up fast enough while firing Rockets & ya will not like the consequences... *Facepalm*
I have nothing against creative designers, and in fact I wish I had some of the the styling sense of a few of the fantastic looking designs out there (anyone who has been to my workshop can tell I am a boring, no frills, no nonsense, function before fashion builder). I've found (for me, at least) building is survival is a fast way to find out when you make a questionable design decision. That said: I do use creative to adjust my survival builds for blueprinting when it comes to uploading to the workshop... removing high level items, and so on.
I actually prefer survival building as well. Not because lol challenge but because I make adjustments based on needs and challenges. If I find a nice looking ship, I will import it, strip out non necessities, and bring it into my survival. Adjust as needed. Out of respect I dont post my changes to others ship.
Hi everyone! Here is my SV Gladius: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=709827749 Gladius was specially designed for attack the alien bases or unwanted guests! It is entirely in hardened steel, only some blocks for decor are in simple steel (for reduce the weight), also vessel are balanced to fuel economy and maneuverability as much as possible according to its weight! Features 1x Constructor 2x Cargo Boxes 4x Ammo Boxes 1x Fridge 4x Fuel Tanks 2x Oxygen Tanks Weapons: x2 Rail Guns, 2x Rocket Launchers Good compatible with Hakon and Polaris CV's
Well I've taken the ZeroG Ripley and modified it to fit in the bay of the ZeroG Burke. I haven't uploaded the BP yet, still waiting on the OK from the original creator but here's what it looks like. All i did was chop off about half the wing span and turned it into what i thought would be an ugly, stub wing design but instead turned out to resemble the F-22 Raptor pretty closely from top and bottom views.
My newest SV for Scarab Legion and continuation of the A series. A-25 Raven http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=712570119
Did some upgrades to my light stealth dropship. Check her out, if u like! http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=690904561 It's very small for the space it offers. Easily refittable for other roles.
