Since someone got me working on Battlezone (90's computer game) units already, I decided to do my absolute favorite from that game as well and to follow my style, I made it as small as possible and SV instead of hover so it's actually usable Grendel Rocket Bomber To stay as close to original as possible, the acceleration of this thing is extreme, so max speed is instant and it turns like a dead whale on a sandy beach However it's very very low combat profile so you can fly underneath most POI's defenses and I did add two railguns on the side so you don't die first time you see a drone either Oh and it's originally "Russian" unit in the game, hence the red color! link: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=840121849

Finally published the Mercury. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?edit=true&id=842687611 Perhaps I'm growing a little jaded by the... "weird inconsistencies" in workshop popularity. To my surprise, no one seemed to give a damn about the Vanquisher and it slipped off the radar with barely a ripple. As a result, I don't expect much of a response for the Mercury either, but at least I'm not wasting my time writing up pages of backstory for it no one will read or care about. Give it some love if you like space-Ferraris. ═════════════ http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=842673667 Built this for a guy on the server I started playing. He hasn't been around in a week, so I figured I'd just post it. As the description on the workshop says, it's based on a much older blueprint. The original creator constructed theirs backwards however, so this has been totally rebuilt from scratch, using the original as a basic design template.
It's a tad more than "weird inconsistencies" my friend! The workshop has some seriously broken metrics, and that's before we get anywhere near the subject of all pervasive replica builds.
On top of what oojimaflip said: you never know, what people really like. I thought some of my stuff, like the hippie bus, would go through the roof, but didn't. It still found a small but happy fan base. Then I've built a little, measly starter base. Bam - top 9 and in the showcase for days. But let's not spam here in this thread. Is there a workshop thread already on the forums? Would be nice to get to know more about workshop metrics and stuff (I don't know anything on this topic). PS: I'd say the mercury will work. Not completely experimental, but unique enough to stand out. People will like it. PPS: You could improve by learning to create more flashy/tacky/showy thumbnails. First, start with better contrast between ship and surroundings, so the ship becomes clearly visible even when displayed as a mini-thumb on the workshop below the big lightbox. Lighting also plays a huge role here.
Just took this for a spin. Great SV. Tail lights??lol they look awesome! and this one... Outstanding! Best part is, it's really fun to fly. The armament sockets are hot too!

Descent Pyro (SV) It is my first Small Vessel, and it is on the workshop here Some pictures of it... And here's a gameplay video of this ship in action, as well as my learning on the job, so to speak...
Cargo Barge Mk3 This is an SV the size of a Cargo Box 3 (1x2 CV blocks), docks in any direction and carries 20 cargo boxes. You can walk in the middle and access the cargo from front or rear. Fits anywhere a 1x2 CV cargo box would fit, but with much denser storage. You can dock it in your CV for portable storage. When you decide to move to another CV, undock from the old and redock in the new. Done! Creative docking (see pictures): - Between cargo boxes - On the ceiling - On the side of an elevator block, out of the way but still easily accessible Steam: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=847617658 EDIT: Added an extra down thruster for it to be able to fly
LOL epic! This + @Zuleica Pig Ships makes me wonder if a whole Farm of Animals may be doable!? The Chicken Race was gonna get sick & tired of being a Food Animal sometime...
Polaris Space Industries PB-13 "Thunderbolt" Thunderbolt is fast and agressive bomber designed for hit & run and interdiction type attacks against enemy installations and vehicles. While not the most agile, speed and rugged construction makes up for it - as does the amazing firepower of four homing missile launchers and a single plasma cannon. Thunderbolt is versatile bomber for both atmosphere and carrier based space operations. Steam Workshop: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=849752523 Thunderbolt has basic survival equipment such as oxygen supply - so it can operate from a carrier in space Thunderbolts main weapons - four homing missile launchers - are housed in the nose of the aircraft. Other equipment such as generators and fuel tanks are located in the back fuselage behind cockpit - so there's lots of metal between Thunderbolt and vital equipment as it makes attack runs agains well defended targets. Single plasma cannon is mounted in the middle of the vessel.
