This blew my mind and also gave me some perspective on the forces and procedures in-game. To get that rocket off the ground it said 127,800 kN It makes me think that the Thruster S having 8 MN of thrust is spot on... or perhaps way too much, I don't know what to think.
Emoyrions thrusters are a little overpowered I thinks. The 'pick up' is to fast but its designed that way for now, night change in the future with new thrusters being added, get a re-balance of how they work etc.
The way the rockets work now in the game and real gravity you would end up having the thrusters tear from the ship easily if they were as powerful as they were for their size including how fast they can thrust in gravity.
Also that 4 small thrusters combined Nm is more then a M thruster M should change? consider that 4 small thrusters take the same space as on M thruster
Remember that most of what that rocket is lifting is fuel, and that at takeoff its net acceleration upward is probably under 1g. Meanwhile, Empyrion has electrically-powered magic reactionless thrusters that let massive CVs achieve up to 4g acceleration in any direction for relatively little energy input.
Thrusters are way overpowered. Large and Xtra Large are ridiculous! Consequently, pvp refits of ships almost always involve gutting any interesting engine clusters in favour of the design homogeny of medium thrusters. Stacked. And. Covered. I'm happy we got new plants on some planets.... really.
