    Just to elaborate on this, the two categories are predator and prey. Prey is essentially anything that wont attack you unless you attack it (or it runs away) those creatures will spawn immediately upon the playfield being activated, if delay is set to '0' for predator creatures you can set the delay to '0' and still you will have to wait 24 in game hours (36 mins) before you start to see them.

    I have been nagging for a while about this as for testing purposes having a 'hidden' delay on predators is a joke. We dont have time to sit and wait for 36 mins to test how balanced things are with creature spawning.

    hopefully Eleon will answer the call but at the moment there is a only a few of us that no the YAML files that well so we know of the good and bad.

    BTW @jmcburn if you want any help with suggestions or feedback with options etc i would be happy to assist, like i said before i know the files like the back of my hand having spent a good 100 hours creating loads of planets and customization.

    Thx for the info. Did not know exactly what evil meant. :)

    Asked the devs about this lately too, as some people here had problems with spawning, and got the same answer. To speed things up, you can move the debug time slider to the next day (or better the day after), then the predators will spawn to test them.

    UPDATE (v.1.27.0)

    CHANGES:

    • Support for Alpha 6.0 experimental RC1 [1021] and it's new features regarding playfields:
      • added 'SpawnPOINear', 'SpawnPOIAvoid', 'SpawnPOIResource'
      • added new weather effects: 'Clouds dark', 'Heatwave', 'Coldwave', 'FogRadiation Purple'
    • Added 'New... ' button. Instead of instantly resetting playfield as soon as comboboxes of playfield type or version were changed, EPD now only resets playfield, if 'New...' was clicked.
    • Removed limits from Instance inputs (time
    • changed min/max values for entities (creatures) to 1..5. These are empyrions limits.
    FIXES:
    • fixed: Item editor window could get bigger than screen. Now editor's window max. height is the height of parent window, or if maximized, height of screen.
    • fixed: On importing and saving yamls coordinates' decimal places were ignored, thus resulting in large numbers.
    • fixed: Using 'RealRockSmallA02' in biomes caused playfields to crash on load with 'the object you tried to instantiate is null'. This decoration is not allowed in biomes, but i have been setting it as default in all new biomes, as i did not know that before. Now fresh biomes use 'RealRock1' as default decoration.
    • fixed: 'Delay: 0' line in CreatureSpawning did not get written into yaml, as yaml parser does not emit '0's by default.

    This thing is awesome. Thanks for fixing the decimal point issue.

    I discovered that my playfield will cause a CoQ if the "DroneBaseAkua" is not under the DRONES tab.

    Seeing as how it's required, apparently in 6.0.11.1022, it should probably be there, but undelete-able???

    Dronebase Stock. Temperate has a ZiraxRocket. Its no where in the list so if u edit his stacks, tool cant find him anymore and list it as empty

    Also useing my own POIs and if i want to add POI to the not near list i get an error: See Screenshot
    The first POI in the list it show screenshot error. The second POI in the list it only gives the first POI
    3rd POI i get the first and second POI to show up etc etc. So last POI in the list i see them all.
    Hope u understand this :p
    My own POIs are in the Scenario Folder

    Thx, for the feedback.

    I know it is a requirement to have at least one DroneBase in playfield. I thought about and had a talk with the devs about it last week. For the time beeing i'll leave it that way, because it's beeing discussed, if removing the necessity for a dronebase is an option in the future. If it stays as a requirement, i'll make it so, that you can't delete the last remaining dronebase in the list.

    That's intentional behaviour. :)

    You can only pick from POIs in the RandomPOIList ABOVE THE ONE you're just editing the SpawnPOI options in. Empyrion requires the POIs in the SpawnPOINear/SpawnPOIAvoid to be already spawned.

    Maybe the text in the MessageBox is misleading somehow respectively has to be adapted to make clear, that you can only pick from items set avove this one.

    ah oke clear.

    If i look in the Temperate playfield. In TS_Akua they have the dronebase aswell listed. Cant pick that one in any thing :)
    And dont forget the poor ZiraxRocket :p

    I see. DroneBases should also be available. Hmm, maybe i have to restructure my playfield then as well, as the devs did with theirs. Could be the main reason for restructuring. As the item has to be spawned already before picking it as SpawnOption is allowed. And DroneBase comes after POIs in yaml for now.

    Will ask them and think about it.

    For the Zirax. Will Put it in. There might be other items missing as well. Some day i should get a complete list of all the NPCs, Decos and whatsoever from the devs to be complete. So i didn't really bother checking for missing items and adding them piece by piece for now.

    But if you stumble across a missing one, i'll gladly add it instantly. :D

    Hey,

    Got something weird. If i add my first POI in any other POI as be near or done be near it wont list it.
    And other POI does work. My frist POI has a player start and a personal container. Dont know if that
    has anything to do with it. See Screenshot.

    EGWFarm is my 3rd POI in the list.
    Dont spam near ive added EGWSurvivalBase (my first POI), it just lists it as empty

    It does it to any POI the SurvivalBase wont be listed.

    Yeah, that's a bug i already fixed for the next version. :)

    If you click 'add...' and then immediately click ok, an empty item will be added to the list.
    For now, you can workaround this by selecting something different first and immediately select back to the item, you want.

    I cannot extract the actual .exe out of the file. I downloaded it twice today just to make sure the first one wasn't corrupted. Every other file will extract fine, but the actual .exe will not. It gives me a permission denied error trying to open the output file. Tried in the built-in windows explorer to extract and 7-zip running as administrator with the same results.

    Hmm, maybe antivirus software, that's blocking EPD.exe, some antivir software has a problem with ConfuserEX, the encryption software i use to scramble the code.

    I always "extract all" and it goes into a subfolder automatically... then I Pin to Start, the most current EXE. No issues so far.

    Yes, that is partially it. My bitdefender does not the file at all. Says it is infected with Gen:Variant.Strictor.134902. I recovered the file and as soon I try to run it, Windows says I do not have permission. Immediately after that Bitdefender blocks it again.

    I did that initially but then I couldn't find the .exe. Which is why I went hunting for it and now this.

    Only solution would be to set an exception in BitDefender for EPD.exe to leave it alone. I use Avira Pro and it had also a problem with EPD. Once i set it to ignore, no more issues.

    My Windows 10 complains about the lack of "certificate". Apparently your software has not been certified. I wonder, can you create your own like an SSL cert? lol. Anyhow, I always have to agree that it "might be a trojan". I hope it's not.

    Really now clue, how to do sthg like that. I guess there would be other obfuscation software, but confuser is tested by Jascha and his EAH. Also it's free. :D

    Yes, that worked.

    Found another bug. If you change the resource asteroids to always and set the amounts then go back, it is blank. It does save correctly, the drop down is just blank and the other fields reset when you go back in.

    Edit: Wanted to add a request. Please allow us to do a search when adding new items to the personal container or anything adding items. The images and such are great for most things, but when you are looking for one thing and can't find it, not being able to search is frustrating.
