The game is 12.5 I just did it again this time I did gain entry without upsetting the pirates but as I am neutral I could not interact with any of them so I cored it just to test it. I am not sure what the saved game was when I saved it at the pirate base but it was only 2 days ago so 3 or 4 /6/20. Not sure about legacy. On the plus side its worth falling out with the pirates as the base is rich in loot and it makes Traders happy.
