Mode: Creative Mode: Singleplayer Reproducibility: Always Severity: Minor Type: Turrets Summary: Turrets can shoot them self when aiming at some angles. Description: Not much more I can add to this except that the angle this happens at seems to depend on the blocks near the turret. Note that none of the blocks are blocking the turret and none of the blocks besides the turret are being damaged. Steps to Reproduce: Load the attached save. Note the HP of the HVs single turret. Hop in the HV and access the turret. Do NOT change the angle of the turret. Fire off a few rounds. Exit the HV and note the new HP of the turret.
Just tested on an HV plasma cannon and I could not trigger this. So far I have been able to get this to happen with the following weapons but can not pin down the exact situations that can cause this. HV Minigun Sentry Gun (tested on a CV) Are these both hit scan weapons? Could be a bug in the hit scan logic.
Did some more testing on v10.2.00. This time I tried with both kinds of CV projectile turrets and was able to reliable reproduce this behavior with the turret surrounded by thin blocks in these configurations: Cannon Spoiler Minigun Spoiler I was NOT able to reproduce this using pules lasers. The tracer shots would either instantly despawn when fired or would fly off in a completely different direction as described in the bug thread "CV Rockets "bounce off" blocks when hit at some angles".
