A new map marker is supposed to appear , but no map marker appears AND the place where the dronebase is supposed to be is empty. In the meantime I made a few more experiments and found out: Leaving the system, completely resetting the mission ("pda clr") and then WIPING the playfield did the trick. When I returned to New Terra the mission started again and now the dronebase was finally there! (The WIPE was necessary; resetting the mission alone was not sufficient.) However, I'll try to find a previous save with the problem still existing, and will attach it here for you to analyze the issue.
