Type 2 shuttle now with type 2 impulse pods. (middle) And a longer shuttle at the back there with 2 man sleeping quarters. I now have 20 varying shuttlecraft. It is annoying when i find a better way to do something, then i need to add that to all builds. Glad they are small builds. I guess I need to start thinking about uploading to workshop. I have a backlog of maybe a hundred vessels from the last 5 years that I still have not uploaded simply because I cba to write em up and take pics. And I probably never will upload most of them. However I really do want to upload some of these shuttles very soon.
Only last week I discovered we now have a duck function when holding C. Only yesterday I discovered if you double tap C it stays ducked. And then I discovered, if you sit in a cockpit seat that is normally hard to get out of because of the confined space (you get stuck in blocks), try sit in that chair when in duck mode, and when you stand, you will still be in duck mode and be able to move away from the seat a lot more easily. I got a few old ships with too small cockpit space that will probably work great now because of this feature. Thanks eleon !
Steam workshop collection for the shuttles I am have recently built. Work in progress, still several submissions to add https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=936624783
Yeah, I have use duck a few times but the one that annoys me is when I run up the slope of my small ship (SV) and fall through the floor, and I can only put it down to one thing... the floor is half a block thick, (used as block upper) and there is a slope down from that to a 'shutter ramp' and so sometimesI run up the ramp and fall through (get stuck in) the slope floor, then sometimes jetpack out, but if that doesn't work it's console god mode and walk out and console god mode off again, then there's the times when my SV goes 'immaterial' and instead of up running into the back of the van* I simply run through it, I've found that if I enter cockpit and exit again most times that fixes it, otherwise it's a quit and reload, fortunately it doesn't happen too often. I'll check out some of those SV's, for when I have a random restart, I've thought about sharing a few of mine on steam but they arent as adorned as many of the other guy's work and I 'oh so often' ignore problems because they don't affect the way I play, sort of 'good enough for me' oh yeah most are for the AdA version of RE2. *it's like a van, driver front cargo at back.
Is anyone else having lots of COQ errors when entering planets? Ive had 2 now that are wrecking my saves..
We are aware of this and will be fixed in the next update with a short how too, how a save game can be fixed There are a few steps that needs to be done by you for it. If you dont feel confortable to do it, when 1.16 launched you can send the save game to [email protected] and we will fix it for you
Good to know - thanks. I had done some modding of the playfield files and wondered perhaps if it was something I had done - but the issue remained after file validation check on steam.
What did I do today in Empyrion?... well I tracked down what was lagging my game, it used to run at 90-100 plus FPS until Nvidia insisted that I should allow it to optimise my game and make it better than reality, so, being an old bloke that still marvels at talking birthday cards I thought... well, what could go wrong? it's Nvidia, they know what they're doing, it's not like the bloke next door's doing it, these guys understand everything and take into account everything... so I said, Yeah... go for it! The result was a frame drop to mid thirties... yup, 35 FPS, I tried to stay with it but turning around was making me feel a bit seasick (on a personal note, I'd just like to say, I don't actually get sea sick, even though I'm a landlubber) Anyway, I started to go through my settings and I didn't understand what many of them actually did... so it was off to the interweb to find out, back and forth, and there were even conflicting opinions on those, but time passes and after a few hours I'd got it up to 58-61 at a Polaris Trade Station, I still wasn't happy with it as it dropped to 40 when mining some dust, returning to the options I found SSAO... again not knowing what it was and if it did anything atall, but, there was no message from Eleon warning of a heavy performance hit by turning it on/off, so I turned it from low to high and it made no difference, so I assumed that turning it off would also make no difference... how wrong I was. Simply turning SSAO off gave me a jump in FPS to 110 right away, and looking at the horizon I saw 120-130. I was able to return other settings to higher values and make the game visually and performancewise better...again! The moral of my story is... Nvidia know Jackschitt.
